Fabulous gastro pub with accommodation. Staff were really great. Owner was brilliant. Food is unbelievable. Really good. It genuinly is a hard to beat place, nestled in beautiful Oxfordshire. Oh, and the breakfast was awesome.
I cant genuinly think of anything. There were no problems.

Very clean and comfortable thank you. Friendly and good value for money
It was all great for the value for money. It's not on the luxury end but it's good enough and clean. I was quite cold so pulled out more blankets which worked. The tea coffee facilities were fully stocked - you get milk in the fridge but no mineral water so bring your own or ask at the pub before 9.30pm

Having the fridge in the room made a big difference
The matress could have been a bit more comfortable, maybe needs replacing. Bit to much give to it. My husband had a poor nights sleep, I was ok though.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The attached restaurant/pub was cute and the food was good.
While the room was quiet, the property was not as secluded as I was expecting. If we had opened our window, the road noise would have been noticable.

Pleasant
Rooms were pleasant and the water was hot. Ground floor room was appropriate for 2 old people. Very convenient for the dog as park straight across the road.
Unbelievably noisy outside for most of the night - traffic on road! Astonished to be asked to pay for a second cup of coffee whilst having breakfast!! We didn't pay it in the end but felt uncomfortable for the rest of our 2 night stay - especially as we paid for 2 double room and only one person was in the second room which meant they only provided 3 breakfast and not 4!!! Breakfast and dinner very average. No chairs in either of the bedrooms - one stool but impossible to watch TV or to put shoes and socks on!! No place to sit in the evening as we were thrown out of the pub at 7.00 pm - which with no chairs in the room meant we had to sit on the bed or walk around!! No room service so when we returned our beds were not done or tea bags replenished

Wonderful
Staff are fantastic and the food in the restaurant in the evening is delicious. I was there on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening, and the pub was packed, so a really good indication of the quality and service I think. I was in Room 2 and it was clean and well stocked with teas, coffees and fresh milk in a little fridge (which to be honest was quite noisy so I turned it off during the night).
The only negative I would say as a business user is that breakfast doesn't start until 8am, which meant the first day I had to rush and wolf down a quick breakfast to be at the local office for 8:30am. The second day I needed to be at the office for 8am, but to their credit they agreed to make me a bacon roll ready by 7:45am which meant I could eat on the go! Starting breakfast earlier would make this a regular place to stay, but as it is I'll regretfully need to look elsewhere.

The actual pub was lovely. We were able to eat in the pub on the Saturday evening and it was excellent . Certainly not your normal pub food. It was very busy but service was great and the staff were smiley and attentive. I would certainly eat dinner there again. Breakfast was ok. My Husband enjoyed his Eggs Royale. I ordered a cooked breakfast but the accompanying toast was very under toasted. There was no offer to get it re toasted and as I'd already sent my fried egg back as the white on the egg yolk wasn't cooked I didn't want to spoil my husbands breakfast by fussing. We weren't offered any juice or more tea.
We didn't realise that the bedrooms were in a separate building to the pub and the pub is closed from 7 pm on a Sunday night. (last orders for food 3.30pm). We didn't arrive until 6.30 so literally had 1 drink then had to go into the next village for a meal. Wasn't too much of a problem as the bus runs every 20? mins from outside the pub. The room looked very inviting on first glance. However, the mattress was very soft/bouncy so it wasn't a great night's sleep. The pillows were lumpy and the duvet was past it's sell by date. It was the cheap paper cover type and was very worn and bobbly. The sheets were clean. The TV is way too small for the room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and made the stay memorable. The room was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and although we didn't eat there for dinner, the menu was interesting with a lot of variety. Only a short drive or taxi from the Manoir aux Quatre Saisons.

Good
For business travellers, breakfast needs to start before 8am. I was offered a continental breakfast, which was expensive considering I had paid for a full breakfast. I did ask during check in if the cost of breakfast could be knocked off and I would pay for room only, but this was something they couldn’t or wouldn’t do - so I excepted the continental breakfast, which I had to take to my room the night before. Fortunately there was a fridge in the room.
