It is a decent location, and the bed was comfortable.
I don’t like that there is an additional fee for parking. It is at a services so it’s not like you have any other option.

The property is not well maintained
The hallway had a bad smell, carpet in the room felt sticky and grimy underfoot, room facilities and furnishing so poor. I had to put a towel on the carpeted floor to step on floor. The room was not cleaned throughout my three day stay even though I requested cleaning.

Room - was good overall
Breakfast - for a small outfit was good, coffee machine aweful and had a strange taste.
Bed - pretty uncomfartable and struggled to get comfortable.
Noisy room, could hear cups and saucers clanging in th eearly hours. Coudl also hear a mobile phone beeping multiple times from one of the rooms. generally not sound proofed eough and overall a bad nights sleep. Parking area flooded and dirty and difficult to unpack with stepping in muddy water. Not pleasant.

Location to split up our journey
we ended up paying for parking £5.00 because we need to park its only for third party booking.com bookings.
we seem to had been placed in a sewage backing up room. it smelt bad in the hall way and worse in the room thats not ok. further more we were placed in a double single room not a double room that was booked so we had to go back and get another room
we were then put in another room where the whole side board is missing so theres just a massive vacant space on the side of the room, no desk or chair. just a bed and a fan. further more no ac in the room. No wardrobe just a tv on the wall.
all in all i’ve had a truly awful stay here and didn’t sleep well either.

The breakfast was good. The room was quite clean. Great location.
We spent a night and it was very disappointing. It was a hot summer night, AC in the room didn’t work. The room was super hot overnight. They kindly provided a standing fan which was very rickety and noisy. Could hardly sleep. Worst thing was the power cuts twice before we checked out. Water wasn’t also running during the power cuts. The second power cut happened while Mrs was in the shower, the very worst experience. They didn’t give value for the price.

Decor, cleanliness, comfort.
Two things ruined my visit.
1. Stale bread and dried out grill items at breakfast
2. My room key has been disabled when I returned after breakfast. Room 55 is the furthest room from reception and I walk with a stick, so this caused me more discomfort than you might think. The man on reception did not engage with me verbally at all, just took my card and renewed it. A 'sorry' would have been nice.
Do you do thorough staff training? Both of these complaints were ruinous to my opinion of you.

The hotel was safe and easy to find at the service station
The hotel communal areas and the room had a strong and unpleasant smell. The hotel needs a refurbishment. There is a. charge for car parking which was confusingly advertised (£5/night in June 2025).

A good nights sleep and Room was adequate for our Needs
The Overall Condition of the Internal Areas. It was both Scruffy Dirty and Neglected. Also The Reception needs Upgrading . Overdue for Renovating and Modernising, as it is and would be a Popular and Convenient stopover for ongoing Travel. Especially London Airport.
