Communication. I managed to open the QR code (ehich I never normally use) but could not find the answer to my question about getting some hetingon. Reception were extremely helpful b ut why not have simple written instructions on the desk?

The bed was comfortable. The location is so central that it's great.
Definitely not 4* is very tired and tatty. Ceiling paper coming loose, marks on walls in bathroom. Plug sockets not working, dirty damaged nets in window peeling paint.

Very good location. Great room - bed and bathroom excellent and the view across the street was very Oxford! Breakfast was fab!

Decor and comfort
Anyone could walk in the front door and go straight upstairs to the rooms. The receptionist is further in the building.

Very handy location for access to the university exam schools and near to shops and restaurants by a short walk. Bed was comfortable and room temperature was stable.
Room very small for money paid, and needs a refresh. Breakfast was only lukewarm and the hotel really needs to get a faster toaster. Waiting staff while very efficient didn’t engage with customers very well. A welcoming smile would make a massive difference. Very expensive night rate for room size.

Bathroom was great. Location was great.
Room looked very tired. It was very noisy with drunk students on a saturday night but I guess that's what you get as its central. One thing that I think you should point out is hte parking. Access is VERY narrow and I scrapped the side of my XC90 upon entering throught the arch which was and is very distressing.

Location wasnt bad.
The room was ok but not as described.
Overnight I was woken to noises from the bathroom which was a back flow of the pipes and the smell was horrific to the point I couldn't go back to sleep, i tried to contact reception via the app as requested on my arrival and I didnt get any response.
When I spoke with the reception team this morning all I got was " we will get that looked at " no apology nothing.
The curtains and netting was all ripped at the window also.

The room was on the ground floor with no air conditioning, and the air inside was stuffy and stale. The only window faced the back of a restaurant, so it was very noisy. We couldn't keep the window open for fresh air because of the noise and smells. It felt like sleeping in a closed box, and it wasn't comfortable at all.
Future guests: ask for a room on a higher floor with air conditioning before you book, and check which way the window faces.
