Wonderful
The dinig room was extremely hot during dinner.

Exceptional
It’s quirky and different whilst still being comfortable. It’s in a great location for the sights of the city.
The entrance doesn’t particularly look like an entrance when driving in and very close to a bus only area.

Cell bedroom and use of the prison building were novel and a good experience. All staff were friendly and very helpful, and the bar area and waiters and breakfast provided were excellent.
Have all lifts operating.

Pleasant
Location was great, the architecture is something to admire
I fear the rooms have been left to show its age, dirty grout lines in the shower, a cracked hand wash basin, dirty tile tops around the bathroom, chipped paint all over the base of the shower. Could do with some updating and a deeper clean. We were room 128 if this wants checking

Disappointing
Way to expensive for what you get or shall I say what u don't get. I paid £400 for 1 night and was still told I would be charged for certain items in the room! No breakfast included! Paid an extra £50 for the breakfast and it was awful

Nice to stay somewhere different. Very nice but still with bits of the original prison
The menu was quite limited in the restaurant (not the drinks though, that’s menus is huge).

Very Good
Excellent welcoming, arranged a parking spot for or car with blue badge free of charge. Upgraded the room to a suite.
The room was quite hot even with the cooling on 24/7 for 2 days.

The decor and how they took an old prison and made it a beautiful place to stay. The staff was the most welcoming and supportive of any place we’ve ever stayed!

Exceptional
The building is amazing and retains many of the original prison features, this is carried through to the rooms as well which were huge and well appointed (actually three cells knocked together). The thick doors and walls made for a very peaceful night.
The staff were all excellent from the valet parking to reception to the bar staff who made us amazing cocktails.
We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but breakfast was superb.

Exceptional
Wonderful historic setting close to train station and walking distance to all the historic attractions. It was an oasis of calm. The only downside was there was only one sitting chair with leather cushions that slipped when you sat on it. So was better to lounge in lobby.
Room could use two comfortable sitting chairs.

Blocked toilet in room not great, but staff sorted promptly
