The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. room and block A were just amazing. Location is superb for town centre and walking around the colleges. Lovely breakfast and nice drinks in the bar. Room was very comfy.

Location is great, staff very good
It’s needs a refurbishing, room especially the bathroom was shabby. For a luxury room rate it was not good enough, been in budget hotels that have a better maintained and presented rooms

Disappointing
Good location. Helpful staff.
Two of the three rooms I booked had dysfunctional AC and unopenable windows making them unbearably hot. One also had a broken hair dryer. When I politely complained the next morning and enquired about a refund, I was told that yes I will get a refund, but in the end the refund I received was just £50 on a £750 booking, not exactly generous.

Everything. Location, staff service and room size.
The uninformed maintenance work of lift. Caused discomfort and injury while departing from hotel.

Good
The hotel is in a good location and the staff were welcoming. The bed was confortable and the room well insulated. The window was a french door opening onto a small balcony (with no seating).
The hotel is obviously still in a rennovation/construction phase, and it lets itself down massively. The ambience of the hotel is poor - a building site. The temperature varies wildly between different parts of the hotel.
The room didn't have a welcoming ambience; the furniture wasn't very good - a swivel office chair and an uncomfortable (though obviously stylish) armchair. The room had a balcony, but no chair(s) for the balcony, so it make it pointless.
The shower cubicle was quire small, and there was only an option of a fixed shower head in the shower; no hose.
£35 parking from check in to check out only is extortionate, plus 2 days' of congestion charge, plus finding parking elsewhere... in total, parking for just one night visit in Oxford was £67. I know that's not entirely the hotel's fault, but adding to the general Oxford disgust for those who must use a car isn't on.

We thought it was great. Quirky, clean and all the little extra touches like chocolates, toiletries, pad and pen. Very welcoming.
I missed the turning into the drive so ended up in the bus lane so looking forward to a nice fine!!
