Pleasant
The location is excellent. The history and architecture are enduring. The room was nicely decorated.
The staff weren’t exceptional. The beds were far too soft for our liking. Breakfast was average at best. Overpriced for the experience.

Fantastic hotel. The service from staff were excellent! We felt very welcome!
Restaurant service was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The food was great though!

Location
Small niggles such as waiting too long for drinks at the bar and restaurant. Over priced rooms as well. This is not a five star hotel

Very Good
Location, walk-in shower, mini refrigerator.
Coffee maker on bedside table which could not be moved. As I had only one table, it was difficult to place my glasses and phone. The step up to the bathroom. It is very expensive for what the room offers.

Disappointing
The beds were very comfy.
The view outside our window. Sewage pipes

Disappointing
Some staff who appeared to be overworked still managed to provide a very good service.
For the prices charged and the 5 star rating, the service was disappointing at all levels and more befitting of a lower 3 star hotel. This is not the Randolph of old: from brusque staff to uncomfortable slanting beds to poor accessories and infrastructure in the room, there is a palable sense of sloppiness and cost cutting, and more investment seems to have gone into promoting a kitsch packaged Oxford experience than providing good service to its patrons. This is in marked contrast to the Randolph prior to its takeover in 2019. Since then, a venerable Oxford institution has become less a hotel and more an exorbitantly overpriced theme park.

Good location
Very poor disabled access throughout. Poor selection of food for the evening meal. Room was very small and not worth the high cost.

Good
Great location. Helpful staff throughout hotel. Very clean hotel with well maintained public areas. Decorated tastefully. Good food selection on menu. Food well presented and beautifully cooked.
Areas less used by the public not so well maintained. Breakfast buffet dishes not checked regularly enough and so, dishes running empty. In a hotel of this class I would have expected complimentary bread to be offered with dinner. Size of breakfast plates an obvious economy measure.

Great location, helpful staff, excellent breakfast.
Lacked bar space to sit and have a drink. The space by reception was always crowded and a bit draughty.
