All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Wellness Centre is great and we felt looked after and relaxed. The Hotel has had a fabulous refurb in recent years, with lots of light, humourous touches that breathe new life into the Victorian splendour of the building.
Great Breakfast. Would highly recommend the kipper. Buzzy but friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel, including the Morse Bar, a cosy but open and stylish shrine to the melancholic TV icon.
All good. The staircase to the Wellness is quite narrow.

The decor was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The heating is controlled centrally, rather than in the room. Our rooms were way too hot when we arrived and when we reported that, the staff turned on Air Conditioning which made them way too cold. There was also no hot water. It was like warm.

The hotel is exceptional and all staff were helpful and friendly. The guy on the door that took our bags and card keys the next morning was attentive and helpful. Telma on reception was simply lovely. The service we received in the Morse bar on arrival was swift and the evening in Alice restaurant on Monday 12th October was exceptional and friendly going the extra mile. We had a stunning stay for my daughter’s birthday.
Very minor points. I didn’t find things in the room until later. I didn’t know the tea and cups etc were in the cupboard under the TV and didn’t find the room service menu for breakfast until it was too late as this was also hidden away in the cupboard. The bed was comfy but the pillows were very soft and meant sleeping quite flat. To be fair though we could have asked for more pillows. Minor things. Overall a great stay.

This hotel is in a fantastic central location in Oxford, right at the heart of the city. Very comfortable rooms - decor is "full on" but in keeping with the building and history of Oxford. Nice toiletries brand in the bathroom. Pleasingly low noise level for central location on a Saturday night. Helpful staff.

The location was perfect - we could walk to everywhere we wanted to visit
Our room was disappointing. No view, dim lighting, not enough storage for our clothes, no suitable surface to place the coffee maker and kettle on, not enough power sockets, no USB charging points.
Breakfast buffet was good, but exactly the same every morning. No egg station, staff rushed and distracted
