A lovely first impression thanks to the call I made before booking. So helpful and kind! Thank you! Beautiful main building and a well put together, comfortable and clean room. Dinner (we ate in the bar area) was hot, well presented and tasty. Breakfast was wonderful. I really enjoyed the choice and how fresh the food was. As a vegan, I ate very well. A good nights sleep was had.
The pool and sauna room was free to use, but could use a little TLC. There was a little confusion between staff in the bar area as to who does what. We had to wait a while to order food and drinks in the evening, despite it being quiet.

Wow! We absolutely loved everything from the comfortable beds and linen to the stunning setting and manicured grounds on the river. The breakfasts and food from Napiers was delicious and the staff were very friendly, helpful and hospitable. We loved that we felt that we were in the middle of the countryside but were minutes from Oxford. The indoor swimming pool and sauna was such a great added bonus as well as the steam bath and even tennis courts. Our whole stay was incredible and we loved every minute of our time there.

Dinner menu very tasty. Breakfast too! Clean. Friendly, efficient staff. Somewhat small room but contemporary. Comfortable beds. Extra clean. Nice view. Tranquil. If you are late for the restaurant, the bar/pub in the hotel serves equally tasty food (partially same menu).
Limited access to the river path. Nothing that we did not like, really.

The staff and service was exceptional, friendly, helpful and happy to go above and beyond to keep us happy.
Some of the facilities were a little tired but it didn’t in anyway diminish our stay.
