Poor
Lovely looking hotel
Dirty toilet in room on arrival didn’t want to use it for the rest of the stay. Room had no electricity on arrival and had to get the ‘maintenance’ guy to flick a tripped breaker which took 1hour. Food was average at best unfortunately if you’re looking for luxury in Norwich it’s extremely hard to find and you won’t find it here.

Disappointing
The breakfast is good, the location is excellent. I am a frequent visitor but the clientele means there is constant banging and loundness all through the evening. in rooms surrounding my children, in 'family' rooms even groups of adults.
The Golfing clientele means there is regular banging and 'loundness' all through the evening. in rooms surrounding my children, in 'family' rooms even groups of adults.
Rooms are dated now. It is not a cheap place to stay yet there is no such thing as a reward system for a frequent and loyal visitor'.

Fair
The outside looked very grand and the location was good for what we wanted.
The food was terrible, I had the mussels which came with fries and garlic bread, the garlic and cream cooking liquor was like dish water and the garlic bread was so hard it was inedible. My wife had fish and chips and said it was ok, the batter was greasy. My daughter had pizza and fries ( weird to have double carbs on a kids menu) but her pizza was ok. Breakfast had poor quality ingredients even the bread! The beds were hard and other than the entrance, bar and brasserie everything was very tired and tatty, which is a shame at the cost of more than £270 per night for a family room.

Very Poor
Nothing unfortunately apart from the location
The room that I had upgraded to was suppose to be a four poster bed, this wasn’t the case four poster frame with a double bed inside the frame I was expecting a real four poster bed, also there was a bolt sticking out of the bed and if you were to catch your leg on this bed frame it would of made a mess, there was a horrendous smell in the room dirty coffee machine, dirty glasses and vodka bottles left out the room from previous guests that hadn’t been cleared up also draws that had handles hang off and bath with chunks missing out of it and screw missing off door handles this was suppose to be for my birthday, safe to say I left this location, within half an hour the picture didn’t look anything like what I was given wish I hadn’t of booked, left and went else where, also the windows I understand it will be a listed building but when you have safety locks on the windows again with screws missing which isn’t good massive safety hazard in my eyes.

Poor
Location and gym
as a single traveler I felt like I was pushed into the corner of the conservatory twice despite asking to dine in the main restaurant area where tables for two were empty.
No fresh coffee, poor service and mould in the bathroom

Wonderful
Swimming pool was fantastic with the kids, room comfortable, breakfast experience was very nice and dinner at the bar was lovely too.
I would love to have had a mini fridge in the room.

Great location, lots of parking (with electric charging spaces.)
Beds were comfortable and we all slept well.
Reception were incredibly friendly, welcoming and professional at all times. Housekeeping were polite and friendly.
Quite a long walk to our bedroom. We had to go down some stairs and back up again. There was a lift but it was slow. Not a problem for us but would be tricky for someone with mobility issues.
Restaurant busy for breakfast. Friendly greeting but staff didn’t seem to be coping. Not sure if understaffed or needed better systems. Lots of tables needed clearing and coffee machines not working. Cups and plates needed refilling and people had to get cutlery out of the draw as tables not set.
