Fantastically quiet, a quirky and arty type of property where you can relax and get away from it all...Perfect hosts, wonderful garden, just a pleasure to look at all the items and decoration. All necessities were there and then some....Think Morocco meets boho meets upmarket English comfort...

Everything! Mike and Jainie are exceptional hosts and could not do enough for us. We LOVED the location and facilities and decor was just the most beautiful quirky wonders! We loved the breakfasts and enjoyed sharing breakfast at a big round table in the conservatory with a couple of other guests. The hot tub was fun and enjoyed Freda's (dog) company too. Real attention to every detail and all things were thought through so beautifully. From a little fridge in the room, corkscrew and bottle opener to dressing gowns and full sized hair/cleansing/beauty products. Just fab! We will be back for another little escape at some point ?

The location is amazing, the hosting was the perfect mix of respecting our space and being there if ever required and the Cranny room is beautiful!
It's close to some built up areas while also being beautifully secluded, you're 10-15 minutes away from some wonderful beaches and within drivable distance to everything else in Cornwall.
100% worth a visit and there is a good chance we will be back!
The only thing we didn't like was that we couldn't of stayed for longer!

A mirror in room would have been helpful on wall.Better lighting from car park to room for in the dark.

Lower Barns is a gem! A lovely setting carefully curated by two wonderful hosts, Janie and Mike. I stayed after walking 7 days on the South West Coast Path and it was a magical spot to relax and absorb the unique beauty of Cornwall.
The room was cozy, vibrant and well accomodated. Loved the giant tub & comfy bed! Breakfast was delicious and the beautiful, unique grounds made for good wandering. Thanks for a wonderful stay -wish I could have stayed longer!!

Toured England/Wales for 3 weeks, staying in about 10 different places, and this was by far the best place. Absolutely magical. Amazing hospitality, with treats upon arrival in our room. Colorful & artistic & whimsical decoration. Loved it. Friendly hosts. And absolutely amazing breakfast every day. Make sure you leave enough time for the breakfasts! Beautiful drive in and out of the inn, wonderful Cornwall towns nearby.

Great friendly couple,large comfortable room,lovely gardens and excellent breakfasts handy for lots of different places.
Access on some single track roads please read directions on their website as sat nav can be a bit confusing

The location is perfect, secluded but close to harbour village Mevagissey. The hosts Mike and Janie couldn’t have been more welcoming, engaging and friendly. The cooked breakfasts in the morning were the perfect way to start the day and visit with the other guests. Absolutely stunning place for a getaway.

Stayed for two nights and made to feel very welcome by Mike and Janie. Everything about Lower Barns Guest House is very unique and comfortable. Room was spotless with everything we need, a lovely breakfast with advice on area's to visit. Garden is also very pretty.
