Views are great. Location is great. That’s about it.
To be honest our stay was just average. The room and views were amazing but some of the windows were not just dirty they were filthy. We booked a window experience in Gong, the space we were crammed into was tiny, for £250 I would have expected more and much better service, we asked multiple times for sparkling water that never arrived, glasses not topped up, dishes not cleared away, a very average experience, later that evening I asked if they or another bar would be showing the England quarterfinal and I was laughed at and told “this is a five star hotel of course not” I was well aware it’s a five star hotel that’s why I booked it! The staff member was rude and condescending. Breakfast was also poor, a limited selection that you’d find in any decent 4 star hotel. The room and the views are 5 star but everything is really isn’t.

I wanted to write to express my sincere thanks following our recent stay. We were incredibly grateful to be upgraded to the Shangri-La Suite on arrival. It was such an unexpected gesture and truly made our trip unforgettable. The suite was simply spectacular and every member of the team we encountered was warm, welcoming and professional. Their kindness and generosity made a very special occasion even more memorable, and we are genuinely so appreciative. Thank you once again for creating such a wonderful experience.
