Located on the banks of the River Thames, Sea Containers London is in the famed Sea Containers House, just a 7-minute walk from the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe Theater. The hotel is also 15 minutes' walk from the London Eye, Borough Market, The London Dungeon and SEA LIFE London Aquarium. Sea Containers London features a riverside restaurant with outdoor seating, a cocktail bar, an agua spa, a rooftop bar and a terrace with panoramic views over London. Free WiFi is available for all guests. Decorated by award-winning designer Tom Dixon, each room features bespoke furniture, a flat-screen HD TV, air conditioning, dimmable lights and a mini-bar. The marble bathrooms are complete with either rainfall shower or bath. Extras include a media panel, Malin+Getz toiletries and satellite channels. Many of the rooms feature river views, directly facing the Thames. Some also have a balcony. The on-site Curzon screens a range of new releases, classic matinées and family favorites in a bespoke 56-seat cinema from Friday evenings through Sunday. Really nice hotel, clean, lively with a good vibe and quirky aesthetic, loved the ship concept. We had a London Eye view from our room, which was great for seeing the fireworks after our nye dinner (brasserie blanc southbank highly recommended), so we were safe from all the smoke. Room was spotless clean, good organized and you could easily regulate the temperature yourself. Water always warm, great bed, warm towels upon arrival, do not disturb sign absolutely respected, great sound isolation, good quality in-room products and breakfast (ordered in-room). Coffee was also good and the personnel at the den bar was awesome! 22h/7 room service (great amenity). Good central location for exploring via bus, tube or uber. Neighborhood felt safe overall. We didn't eat at the restaurant and we didn't find the spa on nye open to review.
First impression upon check in wasn't that great. We didn't feel really guided by the front-desk employee. We simply received our cards and that's it. Everything else we had to inquire ourselves (would have been helpful to mention the newspaper or qr code in the room for example). But that was an isolated experience that quickly got away thanks to the overall hotel and personnel vibe. Fyi no concierge service for every hotel guest (understandable considering the size of the hotel). No power outlet for hair dryer in bathroom (prob safety reasons). No toilette brush for some reason.

Location and river view
Some members of the staff did not appear sufficiently trained. It took of them 20 min to check me out and give a receipt. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was its location and the advertised views; however, the initial room I was assigned overlooked another building. I ultimately had to pay an additional fee to be moved to a room with a standard view.

The hotel is very modern and has a lovely bar and restaurant. The location is away from the main sites (which we knew when we booked) but is close to Borough Market and London Bridge. The beds were comfortable and the staff very friendly.
Having booked well in advance and seeking a large family room, the room wasn't as big as we expected. There was no view. The window looked out on to an adjacent wall.

Great location. Super friendly staff. The rooms the perfect size with two double beds which is rare in central London especially for the price. The beds were so comfy!

Location was the best. Everything on your door step. Staff, rooms and facilities at the hotel were impeccable too. I couldn’t fault it and can’t wait to go back!
