Fantastic location.
Thoroughly enjoyable weekend right from the moment we got our free coutesy car from the airport to the hotel to the moment we left.
All staff interactions were super and have aready recommended Sea Containers to friends for London trips.
No complaints at all.

Wonderful
The suite was stunning, spotless, beautifully designed with lush interiors (shout out to Tom Dixon, his pieces are incredible), and the bed was super comfy. The real highlight was the large double balcony with breathtaking views of the Thames, Blackfriars bridge and also Canary Wharf. The bathroom was also a 10/10 (we were not expecting a free-standing bath). The room service was also great, the thick chips were to die for!
Both TV placements in the suite were slightly awkward for viewing, but it’s a minor issue. Also, the people scanning the riverbed with metal detectors when the tide was low took away a bit of the serene view, but I guess that’s part of the riverside charm.

Good
Location was excellent. My room had a superb view of the river. Probably one of the best views of the thames that you are going to get.
I was getting married next door at the OXO Tower. I booked the largest room for my bridal party to get ready. I said in the morning I need a quick checkout so I authorised my card to be charged so I could just drop keys and leave. To my great annoyance they had charged me an extra £38. When I queried I was told £34 was a service charge. I asked what this was and was told for staff like housekeeping. Since when did you need to pay extra for housekeeping? Isnt that included in the room rate?! my room already cost over £700 so I think thats ridiculous. I was then told it was optional. If optional then why did you charge it without my authorisation or ask my permission? There was no mention of that of that when I checked in and authorised my card. It felt sneaky. I was then told it could be removed. I said I actually would have paid it had you asked me in advance. They also tried to charge me for some chocolates which I did not eat. I also had breakfast included in my room rate. As I was getting ready in my room I asked if I could have breakfast delivered to my room. I would have been happy to pay a room tray charge or service charge for the room delivery - which is custom in most hotels. I was told no, my breakfast was buffet only, and there was no possibility of having anything delivered to my room. If I wanted breakfast to my room I would have to pay for a brand new meal on room service - so we ended up going without breakfast and that was a complete waste of money. At no point did they offer to just refund me for the breakfast. I was also hoping to unwind the night before my wedding with a little sauna and steam. Upon check in I was told the Spa was being refurbed. Overall the apartment was ok - the view was spectacular - but the room decor was a bit dated and the facilities a bit on the small side. The fridge and kettle were very small. Sadly this could be a great hotel but bad practices let it down.

We primarily booked to try the rooftop bar, however upon check in found out it was booked for a private event and not open for the hotel guests to enjoy. This information should be shared more visibly when booking the hotel as it is not straightforward.
