Good location. Housekeeping and check in and check out staff were nice.
Health and safety concern and unsatisfactory handling from management. If you have any allergies, asthma or similar conditions, I would be very cautious about staying here. We stayed for two nights. After the first night, both guests experienced respiratory allergy type symptoms, including coughing, wheezing, congestion, difficulty breathing and irritated eyes. My friend has asthma and was particularly affected. The symptoms eased during the day when we were away from the room, but returned during the second night with more intensity. We also noticed a moth in the room on few occasions. We raised the issue at checkout after the second night when the pattern was clear and were told the hotel needed to investigate before any resolution could be considered. After we followed up, the hotel said checks had been carried out, no “evidence” had been found, and there had been no similar complaints before, so there was nothing further they could do. This did not feel like an adequate response to an issue that directly affected our health and safety during the stay. We were told that an external inspection would be arranged, but the later correspondence appeared to refer to checks by the hotel team instead. Allergy or air quality checks would need to carried out by a specialist and no such evidence or reports of such a test being carried out were provided to us. Internal correspondence attached to their email also demonstrated an urgency to close the case regardless of our experience. No compensation or goodwill gesture was offered despite the health concern, discomfort and inconvenience caused. We are extremely disappointed in how this was handled and the matter remains unresolved from our perspective.

The beds were super comfortable and all the staff really helpful. The room was a great size for Central London. The executive lounge had range of snacks and drinks, including champagne. Hotel breakfast had a great variety and good quality. Could be my preferred spot at southwark .
