The location was excellent, hotel quiet, food excellent including dinner for 6. Room clean and well equipped, staff excellent.
The single beds were slightly too soft making the bed uncomfortable. Also even when temperature in room had been lowered it was still warm, so a sheet under the duvet would allow cover when sleeping.

Staff were great! Room size was awesome. Nice to be able to go down to the bar in the evening and have some food as well.
Hot tap didn’t work very well and there were stains on one of the towels.

The hotel itself is lovely,Its clean and has lovely surroundings.
Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing.
The shower was cold no matter how long it was left running. Breakfast was extremely understaffed, especially on the first morning. There were dirty tables everywhere with nowhere for us to sit, no plates available, and much of the food had run out — no pastries, bread, or bacon — and what was there was cold.
The hotel itself was clean, which is one of the few positives. However, the bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows were awful. We were also placed in an adjoining room and could clearly hear what the other guests were watching on TV, which made it difficult to relax.
The second morning’s breakfast was slightly better, but the toaster was broken and staff were nowhere to be seen as they were all out the back. At checkout, we waited at reception but no one came, so we eventually had to leave the key on the desk and leave.
Had we known this is how the stay would be, we would have booked a Premier Inn instead — far better staff, comfort, and quality for a much lower price. This was meant to be a birthday treat for my partner, and sadly the hotel was a big letdown.
On a positive note, the Old Swan across the road was lovely and the food there was excellent.
Overall, the hotel has the potential to be something very special, but it feels like all the care and attention has gone out of it.

Location perfect for our trip. Beds comfy.
Housekeeping - only one set of towels in a double room. One water bottle provided already used. No mats for getting out of the shower. Had to use a towel.
Breakfast tables not properly laid. Missing teaspoons with cups. No small plates on one day. No small spoons for eating yogurt, small cereal/yogurt pots (which were delicious).

The hotel was comfortable and the bedroom clean and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The claim of 'fine dining' as you drive in could be seen as somewhat of over statement. The quality of the food did leave a lot to be desired and we chose to eat out for our second night.
Our room was nice however the blind was broken so could not be used and the air conditioning was also broken making the room uncomfortably warm. Could also do with some accessible plugs to enable charging of devices without having to un-plug lamps etc.

Quite location and clean and friendly, only one night so didn't explore the hotel fully or use dining facilites. Didn't try teh wifi although was a strong signal shen checked
Breakfast was a little disorganised, Food was fine, just no one there when arrived in dinnering room to serve and coffee as out of an Urn was a little lack luster

Position. Staff. Attractive grounds
Baths too small. Needs a bit of thinking about where the towels hang, and other such details. Restaurant food very average despite billing. Tv didn’t work well
