The hotel itself is perfectly fine—comfortable and well-kept. Unfortunately, the restaurant (Moltens) was a very different experience, which is the reason for my low rating.
I dined at Moltens as part of a large family group. Because of the size of the party, the staff prepared place cards noting each guest’s order and any food allergies. Mine clearly stated that I am allergic to mushrooms, so I was extremely surprised when my steak arrived with a mushroom on the side.
I informed the waitress immediately. Given the seriousness of food allergies, I expected a prompt apology from either the manager or the chef. However, no one came to speak with me. After about 30 minutes, I approached the manager myself. She acknowledged the mistake with little urgency, mentioning that the chef was “apologetic” but that they were busy. The response felt dismissive, especially considering that such an oversight could have had serious health consequences. In most restaurants, allergies are treated with far greater care and attention.
To make matters worse, the food itself was underwhelming. My steak was overcooked, and my husband’s “beef stew and dumplings” arrived without any dumplings at all.
At the end of the evening, when we went to pay for the meal, the manager did comp the meal, though I only asked for the service charge to be removed. I appreciated that, but it is very worrisome that a restaurant would make such a mistake, and want to make sure other customers are aware of the restaurant’s lack of concern for their guests.
Overall, this was a disappointing and concerning experience. I would not recommend dining at this restaurant.

We had the bread selection as a starter with tomato tapanade. The bread felt warm on the outside and cold in the inside which to me says it was defrosted bread
