Poor
Sadly not much.
The staff were mainly nice at reception.
Clipper tea is nice.
Lots of parking.
Bed comfortable.
I very rarely write reviews but this place really needs to stick as a conference centre and not advertise as a decent hotel for a relaxing get away.
Room was not cleaned and we stayed 3 nights.
The room itself is very small and only has 1 extra pillow to share. It wasnt clean at all when we arrived.
The shower is a hazard, it goes from warm to boiling with no warning over and over. Do not put kids in it, my skin was burnt.
Food is way below par and extortionate.
Over £16 for breakfast which you are only allowed to go up once for despite it being advertised as a buffet. Its cold and honestly grim.
The server watches people like a hawk, I felt so awkward getting a tea after I was finished eating.
Bar service is shocking, they do not know how to run a bar and call for who is next to come forward. People were ignored for ages and others pushed in. Especially when drink is involved you need to know how to serve in order and not expect guests to tell you.
Pool is not connected to the hotel, its a Nuffield centre on the same site and they do not provide towels.
We didnt realise/wasn't told and was subjected to eye rolls when informing us they haven't provided towels since covid (genuinely we stay in hotels a couple of times a month and have always been given towels or told before hand to bring them) we went back to hotel reception and it was clearly an issue for us asking, we explained we have no clean towels as our room hadn't been cleaned and were give damp towels as they were all being dried?!
The outside space is a communal garden thing which is used by the delegates so not something you would find nice to walk round. Its awkward.
If you have any mobility issues do not come here. It is massive and really hard to find the rooms and has 1 very small lift.
How this is advertised makes it seem like its a hotel first and a conference centre too. This is fully not the case and people should know what they are booking.

Very Good
The bed was amazingly comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - huge variety of hot and cold food and very tasty. The staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Faith who went out of her way to bring me more teabags and to ensure I got a well-ventilated room (it was a hot night).
The room size was a little small but contained everything I needed for a one-night stay.

Disappointing
Basic facilities available in good location.
Clean rooms, but very noisy next to fire doors, so sleep quality was poor. No overhead lighting in bedroom, just one small bedside lamp.

Wonderful
Great location. Free parking. Coffee and tea facilities in room. Very clean. Little touches like hair and body wash and body lotion supplied. Amazing choice for breakfast. TV and fan in room. Staff very helpful and friendly
Personally found the pillows rather hard. Ground floor windows didn't open. Security reasons I guess.
Evening meals not nearly as good as breakfast. A little disappointing.
