The staff.
The fact that we could hear the other occupants and couldn't sleep even after midnight.

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel and would happily come back again. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, especially Muhammad who served us out breakfast, he went above and beyond. Which made a great first impression.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and we appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel a bit more special.
The location was also a big plus — convenient for getting around and close to local attractions, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a great experience with a good balance of comfort, service, and value. We’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

To end on a positive note, I would like to thank the female receptionist for providing an extra heater to our room. I personally would like to say thank you. I would also like to say thank you to the server at breakfast named Mohammed.
Where to start.... I came here for a three day stay from London for a little getaway with my partner. On the second night of our stay, there was a huge commotion and loud sounds coming from the corridor. The sounds included people laughing, talking and thumping around without any due care for any other hotel guests. I made attempts to call the reception, however the phone was not working in our room. I called reception with my personal phone and searched for the number on Google. I told the staff member at reception who was a male at the time that me and my partner cannot sleep because of the disruptive loud noises. The staff member did not do anything and said there was nothing he could do about it. Couldn't he just inform people to quiet down? Was he that scared of confrontation? This is a hotel not a circus. The noise continued up until after midnight. I confronted one of the residents respectfully, however the loud sounds continued regardless. The next day, I noticed the distinctive pungent smell of cannabis and weed from the corridors which was absolutely rank and disgusting. The loud noises continued before 8am in the morning and this also continued into the following night and I was absolutely frustrated. Furthermore, housekeeping did not attend our room when the sign was clearly displayed. I called reception as to why this was not done and the receptionist said "they may have missed your room". This was my last night to stay and I had no housekeeping done. I would personally not return to this hotel due to the inconsideration that was displayed from the combination of the guests and staff. I won't forget to mention that the guests who were causing loud noises also were playing music before 8am in the morning .

Excellent value, rooms basic but very comfortable and clean, better than you might expect.
Staff didn’t see very happy and made me wonder if they are not paid very well.

For the purposes of the in-person week, it was great. It did feel a little like living in an office from the Nineties, but I had a great time with the group so I'm not going to complain. I've stayed in a lot worse for a lot more. :)
Not really your fault, but I did get the impression that Milton Keynes was designed for cars, with human beings as a sort of afterthought.

nothing.
directions to room from reception. ("through the restaurant and turn left") in reality it was "through the restaurant, into a different building, up stairs, and just keep walking down what feels like endless corridors. The room was approx 10 min walk from reception with bags. could have been advised to drive to nearest car park to room, to save time and effort. automatic doors to building didnt work anyway from nearest car park. noise was terrible from room above, could hear people talking, going to toilet, toilet flushing, lots of noise in corridors between 12-2am. room was dingy, TV was a tiny 21inch thing. corridors and room smelt musty. room was small, dark and dingy.
