Everything went quickly and smoothly.
It's minor but the parts that hold the metal latch sort of a thing for a keylock didn't seem very sturdy and that they could be easily broken. In regards to the storage space in the room. But I don't know how much of an issue it really is and am just being paranoid about safety it might very well be the latter.

Free parking, great value for money, clean double ensuite room, hot food available on site, nice staff.
Staff error regarding the parking resulting in a car parking fine in the post but this was quickly rectified and cancelled once I informed the hostel. Other than this minor issue, nothing.

Great location - only a short walk onto town and located right at the canal close to the Roman viaducts. Very warm and comfy duvets, USB ports and sockets in each bed. Nice and big common area, breakfast room with a view, a bar and sometimes dogs at the reception.
No privacy within the rooms - a curtain or something similar for each bed would be a nice addition. Some of my items in the fridge were removed despite correct labelling but that’s not the hosts fault.

The location was nice near the canal. Quite a few nice cafes, pubs and restaurants near the hostel and only a 10/15 minutes walk from the centre of the city. The staff was nice and facilities was good.
The bathroom in the rooms was very small and shower very tight. Each floor has a second shower facility which was convenient espcially if you are sharing teh bathroom with other people. The beds were okay.
