The area
Everything about the hotel!
Dirty sheets & pillow cases, dust filled walls ,what seemed like a man's excitement on the wall above the head board. There's nothing complimentary at all you even have to pay for a tea bag which in a 4/5* hotel is unheard of.. The first floor rooms are above the nightclub so if you're thinking of getting any sleep forget it. Two members of staff were extremely antagonistic towards me because I complained about my issues. The bed in one of the rooms was in very poor condition (collapsed) looking over a derelict building covered in scaffolding backing on to a car park. Also very misleading menus one which says OPEN ME which is placed Infront of a wine bottle with no notification that it's a drinks menu so they want to charge double when you get to the desk! I've never been so disappointed in a hotel as I have this including the after care

Stunning room and hotel
The breakfast was shocking considering we paid £290 plus £95 for the bday package, it was a massive let down was over 40 min late and then when it arrived it was laughable with how poor it was
Considering the hotel quality I would actually save a cheaper hotel breakfast is better. When it was brought later after calling twice and messaging there was no apology. And we had to rush to get out for will as it arrived for 10:40

I like that each individual room is different. Plus the room we were in was a good size and I liked the features.
The walls a thin so could hear next doors tv in the morning. The fridge was making a loud hum until we pulled it out slightly to stop the sound other than that everything was good

Wonderful spacious room and really welcoming staff, really great standard for the price and ideal location. Best hotel I've stayed in in a long time!
I was surprised there wasn't an option for vegan substitutes with breakfast, or even oat milk available for tea. I'd love to return but this would be the only thing holding me back.

That it was next to a bar that had loud music till 4am on a Tuesday night/morning and could hear everything from your room,I understand if it was the weekend.

Great location, lively area with good bars & restaurants nearby
The lively area was at the cost of thumping music until 4am both nights and I’m hard of hearing! I failed to research well enough on this one, whilst the room itself was lovely there were no other facilities and it just did not warrant over £200 per night - ouch!

Location was fab
Decor was tired, and it wasn’t the cleanest, we had B&B. But we weren’t told it wasn’t a proper breakfast, got delivered crap continental breakfast to room first morning, which was 30 minutes later than we asked for
The whole lot was put back outside the room in the corridor and we cancelled breakfast 2nd morning, that’s how poor it was. We ended up having breakfast each day outside at extra cost so please book room only x

Staff were lovely, had a complimentary glass of prosecco when we got there, the room was lovely and super comfy. Everywhere was clean, we were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and they were very accommodating to a lady I hired to decorate the room.

location was great except for the unbelievable noise from the bar/club
Room 105 and friends on floor 3. The noise from the music was unbelievably loud. We knew the area was lively and expected a certain amount of noise but the volume was unlike anything we've ever experienced. The base felt like the dj was in our room. It didnt stop until 3am. No phones in the room so my husband had to go to reception at 12-1am in his dressing gown and ask to be moved. We were luckily able to do so but had to walk up to the penthouse in our dressing gowns, and back again in the morning - which was inconvenient and embarassing. It was good of the staff to enable us to move rooms and we were able then to sleep but we couldnt move all our belongings as the penthouse was to be occupied the following day. Our friends didnt sleep till 4am. In the morning the great recpetion staff sorted a refund of our next 2 nights stay as we explained we couldnt handle the noise. Couldnt compalin about the staff - they did everything they could in horrible circumstances. Such a shame as the hotel is lovely, staff great, location great.
