Fantastic character location. Unique and atmospheric building that has been renovated in a sensitive and stylish way.

Overall experience on service couldn't do enough for you. The Hotel is bright and a show stopper, rooms really clean and Family room good size with plenty of space.
Nothing stood out, if had to be picky a couple more plug points in the room and better lighting for make up etc.

Very well appointed. Incredible architecture. Rooms were spacious and very grand. Lovely birthday welcome note and birthday treats - thank you. The Social Mixer is a great idea. Snacks in the room were actually very thoughtful. Room coffee was nice quality. Rooms very comfy.
Miserable bar staff, rude even. Ridiculous disco in the main bar until midnight on Saturday. If we’d wanted a night club we’d have stayed out. The Refuge not living up to its name here. And the acoustics/sound quality was terrible anyway. Just a very strange thing to have on in such stunning surroundings.

The rooms were spacious, the gym was fab and the building itself was beautiful. The team were very friendly and amenable.
Would have like more à la carte style breakfast options.

This hotel saved my vacation. It was a surprising oasis in the perfect part of Manchester. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel leads with a sense of generosity and the staff are all so nice. They knew my name and helped me. They were kind to my daughter and made her feel like she mattered - like she was a friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The hotel is really lovely, and the service is excellent. The staff was really nice when I explained we were celebrating my husband's birthday, and they even left a card and some jelly beans for him in the room. Good service and nice breakfast in the restaurant. Very central and perfect for us, as we were going to see a musical at the Palace Theatre.
Although the common spaces, the reception, the cafes and restaurants were faultless, there were little details that I would expect from a 5* which weren't there - the towel rack in the bathroom wouldn't switch on, the tables in the corridors were not the cleanest, cleaning products and mop buckets were scattered here and there in the corridors outside the rooms.

A fantastic building with lots of history. Our room was so big with high ceilings and everything we needed for our stay . It is minutes from Oxford Road station and a short walk to the city centre.
Nothing it was great
