Built at the foot of Manchester Cathedral in 1815, the Miter is one of the oldest hotels in Manchester city center. It has a restaurant and bar and provides free Wi-Fi in public areas. Each room features a TV and free tea and coffee, with most also boasting lovely views of Manchester Cathedral, the Corn Exchange, Selfridges and Sinclairs Oyster Bar. Rooms are available both with a private bathroom and with shared bathroom facilities. Please note that there is no elevator at the property and no ground floor rooms. With its grand exterior, The Miter Hotel has retained its period charm, but now features modern interior design in the bar and guest areas. The front desk is open 24/7. Placed next to Victoria Rail Station, the AO Arena is 5 minutes’ walk away. We have an amazing connection to CO-OP Live arena via car (approximately 15 minutes) or via tram (approximately 12 minutes). The hotel is in the center of Manchester’s vibrant night life, across the square from the Printworks, with the Arndale Shopping Center just a 4-minutes walk away. The hotel is ideally placed near Shudehill tram station, making journeys to both Old Trafford and The Etihad Stadium easy for football fans. Please be advised we do not have on site parking, we can provide a discount code for a parking facility that is within a 5 minute walk, you have to pre book for a discount and this is public parking which is subject to availability.

The staff is friendly, and the hotel's location is great. I got a room with a nice view, but it was near the stairs, causing some noise. The breakfast, although good, lacked vegetables and fruits.
The lack of vegetables and fruits in the breakfast. Also, the hotel needs some updates.

Perfect location, friendly staff, room was good (definitely book the larger one though). Was overall good
Worst breakfast ever YUK!! Hardly anything filled up had to ask for items. Was also pretty yukky. Worst scrambled egg Ive had the displeasure of putting in my mouth, immediately spat them out (not sure how eggs can be that bad)?!

It was close to the AP arena. The pub underneath was fantastic. The staff were lovely. It was very clean.
The beds were good but the doona was very small.

The location was amazing and central to a lot of things. I paid for a room upgrade to the deluxe double and the bed was comfortable, the view was is the Manchester Cathedral, room was spacious and had everything we needed. Tea, coffee, then morning breakfast down stairs. I asked staff to arrange something nice for my girlfriends birthday they provided, a card signed by them and a birthday banner which was a lovely touch! really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. staff were so so so friendly and helpful.
Rooms could have done with a touch up on decoration for scruffs, marks on furniture.

Central to everything you need. Clean room, friendly staff. Old building with lots of character. Option to add breakfast for a reasonable price.
Shower was very weak - pleased we didnt need to wash our hair. Room seemed to lack plug sockets which made phone charging overnight very awkward.

Getting to the car park on the revised one way system was a nightmare. Im expecting a ticket as sat nav cant get to grips with it it starts to say walk when your driving!!! I would suggest the hotel provides a map with specific instructions. We tried to flag Down a police car, we asked a taxi driver to show us the way and pay them. Locals didnt know how to explain. Also the Q car park has shutters down they open as you get close so we passed it and thought it wasnt open and the name is not near the doors. Car park is a few mins walking distance from the hotel
