The Midland is an award-winning, 4-star luxury hotel with a spa in Manchester city center. It offers stylish, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Providing a fine dining experience, Adam Reid at The French has won 4 AA Rosettes. The bespoke menus offer creative dishes, which are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. Lounge & Champagne bar offers an extensive drinks menu with exciting cocktails, fine wines and local beers. Open seven days a week, guests can also enjoy a selection of light meals from our breakfast, lunch and evening menu. Traditional afternoon tea is available in the Tea Room at The Midland. Hotel guests can make use of The Rena Spa At The Midland's relaxation pool and thermal areas, for an extra charge. The Rena spa includes the aromatherapy steam room, beautiful Alder-Wood sauna and refreshing Arctic rain shower. As a hotel resident, you can book 1-hours complimentary use of our award-winning Rena Spa (subject to availability). A booking is required to access the spa, which can be made by dialing extension 25 or visiting the spa on the lower ground floor. Lovely old art deco style, central bar/restaurant was great, rooms were clean and well looked after.

The property feels very opulent (even the smell of it as you walk through the doors) The staff treat you incredibly well. It is ‘dated’ in places but it is an old hotel. That’s what is part of its charm. The room was comfortable (the air con was incredible in the mini heat wave!)
Not a dislike but a notable thing for anyone booking - if you want to use the pool you have to book an hour slot. We unfortunately left it too late so it was fully booked for the family slots (which are limited to early morning and late afternoon)

We enjoyed our Mother Day overnight stay in March. All the staff were very helpful, breakfast was lovely and the spa facilities were great.
We were given a disabled access room (not requested or required) which meant the sink in the bathroom was too low.

Lovely rooms and the breakfast was excellent
Being able to use the spa facilities is only guaranteed if you book a 55 minute treatment or more , unless the spa is very quiet. Limited option for a quick swim!

The hotel was very warm, welcoming and luxurious. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, offering a very good service which made you feel you were being looked after. I would 100% stay at this hotel again.
If I were to stay again, I would however, ask to be on the other side of the hotel as I was placed on the side of a main tramline which was considerably disruptive. However, this was also due to it being a very warm weekend and needing to have the windows open.

Great location, the rooms are sizable, the lobby is nice, and the hotel has Rolls Royce history.
The hallways leading to the room don't smell pleasant, think old car where passengers smoked cigarettes inside.
