The Midland is an award-winning, 4-star luxury hotel with a spa in Manchester city center. It offers stylish, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Providing a fine dining experience, Adam Reid at The French has won 4 AA Rosettes. The bespoke menus offer creative dishes, which are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. Lounge & Champagne bar offers an extensive drinks menu with exciting cocktails, fine wines and local beers. Open seven days a week, guests can also enjoy a selection of light meals from our breakfast, lunch and evening menu. Traditional afternoon tea is available in the Tea Room at The Midland. Hotel guests can make use of The Rena Spa At The Midland's relaxation pool and thermal areas, for an extra charge. The Rena spa includes the aromatherapy steam room, beautiful Alder-Wood sauna and refreshing Arctic rain shower. As a hotel resident, you can book 1-hours complimentary use of our award-winning Rena Spa (subject to availability). A booking is required to access the spa, which can be made by dialing extension 25 or visiting the spa on the lower ground floor. The Midland is less than 1312 feet from Bridgewater Hall, the Palace Theater and Manchester Central Exhibition and Conference Center. The city's shops and bars are a 10-minute walk away. Due to essential Maintenance works from the 1st December for approximately 5 - 7 days, there will be no thermal access (relaxation pool jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, experience shower) to all of our Spa facilities. Spa treatments (for purchased packages) and gym access will be operating as normal.

Loved the traditional authenticity. Was offered a cheaper upgrade to a suite at check-in. So glad we took the offer. The staff were very respectful and professional. The breakfast was lovely as well!
Only a minor gripe but the hotel doesn’t have its own parking. Had to use a NCP car park which was expensive for overnight parking.

The room is spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is well appointed with good quality shampoo etc. The buffet style breakfast is good with a wide selection of hot dishes as well as fresh fruit, cold meats, cereals and bread. The wi fi is not super fast but more than adequate for a short stay. The location is superb being right in the centre of Manchester so perfect for shopping.
The bathroom needs a handle fitting to the wall to allow safe access to the bath. When looking out of the window one could not miss the absolute mess of trash, bird droppings and general waste that is lying beneath the window. It's an old building with a balcony design for many rooms but it looks awful. At 0630hrs in the morning you are woken up by the sounds of trash containers being moved around. In room 124 it sounded like the building was under attack and went on for a good twenty minutes.

Stunning hotel, a hotel we go out of our way to stay in. The spa and gym facilities are great, wonderful breakfast and dinner options at the hotel. Staff couldn't be more attentive.

Everything about the hotel was luxury, and felt like stepping back in time, in a good way. The Spa was an extra treat for a special birthday. Room was quite small, but at the same time, big enough. Great shower. Lovely fluffy towels and luxury toiletries. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Perfect location.
Such a nice hotel results in very expensive drinks. I had mentioned a special birthday, but not even a small acknowledgement of that. That would have meant the world.
