The Midland is an award-winning, 4-star luxury hotel with a spa in Manchester city center. It offers stylish, air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. Providing a fine dining experience, Adam Reid at The French has won 4 AA Rosettes. The bespoke menus offer creative dishes, which are freshly prepared using locally sourced produce where possible. Lounge & Champagne bar offers an extensive drinks menu with exciting cocktails, fine wines and local beers. Open seven days a week, guests can also enjoy a selection of light meals from our breakfast, lunch and evening menu. Traditional afternoon tea is available in the Tea Room at The Midland. Hotel guests can make use of The Rena Spa At The Midland's relaxation pool and thermal areas, for an extra charge. The Rena spa includes the aromatherapy steam room, beautiful Alder-Wood sauna and refreshing Arctic rain shower. The Midland is less than 1312 feet from Bridgewater Hall, the Palace Theater and Manchester Central Exhibition and Conference Center. The city's shops and bars are a 10-minute walk away. All Spa visits must be pre-booked and paid for in advance via the secure link provided in your confirmation email prior to arrival and are subject to availability. We kindly recommend reserving ahead of arrival, as on-the-day bookings may not be available. Spa access is priced at £10 per adult, with children swimming complimentary, subject to a booking on availability. This includes strictly 1 hour access to the thermal suite, featuring the pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and thermal shower. Lockers are available for your convenience. Please note all payments are nonrefundable. For guests arriving with children, swimming hours are limited to 7:30am – 9:00am and 5:30pm – 7:00pm daily. Guests under 18 are not permitted to use the pool outside of these times, and must be accompanied and actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Please note the Gymnasium is available to use upon arrival and does not require a pre-booking with us.

It was extremely clean and so well run. The staff could not have been better. It is located so close to all the great shops restaurants and theatres.
The sink in the en-suite was too big which made it very difficult to use the toilet.

Clean and rooms were nice
Firstly I tried to book the spa access for me and my partner they only had space for 1 person, but when your going as a couple you expect to be able to do these things together. I tried booking for the morning after our stay but they had no availability at all and only had times available for after we were due to check out the hotel. Also I feel as though the spa is false advertised as it’s stated on booking.com that you do not have to pay for spa access and it’s a free extra with a paid night stay. Secondly I paid alot of money for this 1 night stay to not get barley any sleep at all, I thought by paying for an executive suite we wouldn’t be disturbed at all or wouldn’t hear any noises, but unfortunately we were awake most the night as the people next to us were screaming and shouting for hours at 3am. I tried contacting reception but the phone just rung out. More to the noise there was also a generator of some sort outside our room window that would go on and off all night repeatedly so that was also not great to listen to when your trying to go to sleep.

Very fancy vibe Gorgeous room and big comfy bed All staff were welcoming and very attentive Stayed for a birthday and received free chocolate and a card in the bedroom
For 20 pounds per person the breakfast selection felt quite lacklustre. The fresh fruit section was 2 types of melon and some grapes and there were only 3 types of pastries For the cost we would of hoped for something a bit better, we have had much nicer breakfast at cheaper hotels The wallpaper in the bedroom was peeling

Lifts very slow long waits and queuing. WiFi dropped a few times and places. When busy really need 3 bar staff as one is doing table services.

Location and the entrance is very impressive
The bedroom was so dated. They had a mattress topper on the bed that was smaller than the actual mattress. The room was tired and old carpets. Hallways need a makeover Booked in to use spa facilities. Jacuzzi was out of order and pool was cold. Left after 10 minutes. Should have been informed at the spa reception before entering
