Disappointing
Staff member was pleasant and helpful. Good city centre location for tram, local shops etc
No lift and top floor room. Dirty carpet. No hot water for shower. Wifi connection did not reach the top floor. Down a dark alley which was not clean and did not feel safe at night.

This hotel is on a very dark backstreet with scallies hanging around, you have to ring a bell at reception as its not manned, the guy who finally came to reception took payment for the booking, then once paid, tells you there's a £10 deposit for the keys, if you pay cash, you get it back next morning, if you pay by card its transferred back to the card within 5 working days, im still waiting 4 weeks later, I have emailed and telephoned but had no replies.
The single rooms are standard with a,shared bathroom on tge next floor, looking at a set of windows from your filthy windows.
It would have been more comfortable in Piccadilly gardens, DO NOT STAY HERE

Location
The man on reception was EXTREMELY and UNNECESSARILY rude. When I booked the room I asked for early check-in. This was offered online and so when I turned up this is what I expected. Instead I was greeted by an obnoxious man who for all intents and purposes, told me off for waking him up.
This is completely unacceptable and I left the premises immediately after he told me to do so. What a pathetic excuse for a hotel.

Nothing
No hot water in shower. Check In only from 6pm! Check Out only from 10am! Poor customer service from Reception. No Kettle / Tea Making equipment. City Centre Location - but in a run down grotty neighbourhood. 1 mark for TV and 1 mark for I slept okay. Apart from that this is the very worst place I've ever stayed at in all my 55 years! Poor Value For Money. Will definitely not stay there again. Not recommended.

Pleasant
Perfect location - close to both train stations. Close to shops, restaurants and a nice park.
Rooms need some renovation. There was paint coming down from the walls and carpets were old.

Poor
Good location, friendly receptionist, very cheap for a Saturday night.
Window didn't stay open, so had to jam the bin to let air into the room.
No towels.
Under sheets were stained.
Punch holes in the walls.
Kettle with no tea, coffee or milk.

Good value. Basic room, but very fair price. Everything was very clean.
The water pressure to the shower was very low.

No breakfast. Location is very loud but prime for Manchester and the NQ.
The doors are all hard to open. Sometimes a cue for the shared loo. Windows very dirty. Horrible decor (that carpets are just awful)
