Very close to Piccadilly station plenty of shops bars trams and buses..value for money breakfast was above average
Some of the corridors and stair areas smelt damp but is an old building and obvious in some areas that they are updating

Good location friendly staff
We were on the 4th floor with dog with arthritis and gran with a new knee and the lifts were broke. Altho we were quickly moved when I got in touch but had to still walk my dog up and down 4 floors a few times for bathroom breaks. Also should provide extensions cos there’s only 2 plug sockets in the room for the tv and kettle and nowhere near the beds

Nothing besides the location.
No A/C, the room was very humid and stuffy. The room was also INCREDIBLY outdated and ugly. Not welcoming or relaxing whatsoever. The bathtub/shower did not drain properly, it just pooled up water and the floor was stained. After being on hold and the phone FOR OVER 5 HOURS, the Gardens Hotel and Booking.com refused to assist me when I told them my wife and I could not stay in a muggy room with no A/C or window. There was no other rooms available in the hotel and both the Gardens Hotel and Booking.com refused to offer a refund to find PROPER accommodations elsewhere. Absolutely horrible experience, ruined the entire first night of my trip to Manchester. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the world and this was by far the worst I have ever stayed at. Would not recommend the room with no windows (AND NO A/C) to anyone.

Spacious room, good location in the heart of Manchester City Center, near the train station and tram stations. Pleasant housekeeping staff.
Rooms, carpets and furniture were a bit old and spoons provided in the room were not clean. Expected a bit more value for money.

That it was near the amenities, city centre and taxis.
The staff were so unprofessional and rude. I checked out earlier despite the fact that i fully paid. The reception lady there on the 21st of December at 7 am, for every mistake she did she was blaming her colleagues from previous shifts, by stating that nothing was her mistake but her previous colleagues without realizing that she was a representative of that hotel. Contradicting without letting you finish your complaint. The first time I came across such an incident with this type of characteur(KAREN).

The windows didn't fully close, and apparently this was the case in all the rooms as they were "unable to move us because we'd just experience the same issue" the room was old, the staff were rude and unhelpful and because the window wouldn't close, it was cold and noisy. The beds were hard, no pillows and the bathroom shower was falling apart. Can't believe they call themselves a hotel. For £120 a night you're better off staying at the Travelodge or premier inn, or just anywhere else than here.
