Nothing! Cleaning was substandard and location was ok
Unfortunately, my stay at The Ainscow Hotel was a really disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the extremely loud nighttime noise. It was so bad that it genuinely felt like I was sleeping inside a nightclub. The noise significantly affected my ability to sleep and enjoy my stay, and this was not something I felt was adequately disclosed when I booked the property. I raised the issue with hotel staff, but rather than offering a meaningful solution, I was simply given earplugs and told that there was nothing they could do. Earplugs are hardly an adequate solution when the noise is so loud that you can feel and hear it throughout the room. Had I known about the level of noise beforehand, I would not have booked this hotel. I feel there was a significant difference between what I expected based on the Booking.com listing and what I actually experienced. I have photographs and videos documenting the noise and the conditions during my stay. I have also contacted Booking.com to request a partial refund because I don’t believe the accommodation was provided to the standard or in the manner it was represented at the time of booking. Overall, a very disappointing stay, particularly because getting a good night’s sleep is surely the most basic expectation when booking a hotel.

The hotel was modern. Our room was huge. I liked how the toilet was seperate from the shower.
Our room was very hot, despite having the windows open, 2 fans and a small portable air con. We went in September so it wasn’t even hot outside. It would be better if there was a door to the shower room as my friends could clearly see in. We found a carpet bug and the staff immediately hoovered the room.

The issues with the Ainscow hotel…well…. On arrival there were 2 ‘gentlemen’ potentially rough sleepers, definitely intoxicated, attempting to hire a room with a folded up banknote, the receptionist was amazingly professional and advised them that they must book a room online, she even allowed them to use the foyer area to charge their phone. They moved away from the desk swearing and making comments about the ‘welcome’ they had received. We were then dealt with very quickly and given a room key, advised that breakfast finishes at 9:30, I was charged £14.50 for parking and left to find our room. On the way to the room, the lift had a large mirror as a back wall. This was smashed and had yellow and black tape like a spiders web across the entire mirror. Getting out of the lift we walked along tired looking corridors to get to our room, stepping around and over stains in the carpet that were signs of leaks? Or spilled fluids? Blood? Unable to be sure without carrying out a forensic assessment, which I’m sure there will have been a number at this hotel. The room was very basic, but the issue was the red/brown marks on the carpet, the wall uplighters hanging limp off the wall, the sound of a group, 3,4,5? People in the room next to us having a wail of a time, all lead to the fact that I did not want to stay in such a place. I quickly used my phone to look for alternatives in a reasonable location and hastily made my way to reception to check out and locate the new accommodation. Reception was dealing with another 2 people who had just arrived, so when she accepted our room key back she advised us to contact booking.com if I wasn’t happy with the room. The place was like a bail hostel/ flop house/ shelter. Certainly did not feel like the star rating advertised. Hotel or Ho’S’tel ?

The room was comfortable but the whole hotel was pretty soulless. The bathroom was clean and well appointed but a very awkward shape with a high step into the bath and shower.
The television kept turning itself off and the room was an odd shape
