Exceptional
Kitchenette facilities in the room was great, complimentary drinks you could get in reception area were a nice bonus, comfortable beds in the room, room size was huge
Some utensils and equipment for the kitchenette had seen better days

Poor
We checked into our room at around 3:00 pm and immediately discovered that the window would not close and was stuck wide open. We reported this to the front desk straight away, but were told that nothing could be done until the night shift started. We were also repeatedly told that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no other rooms available.
We explained that it was not acceptable or safe to have a room with a window that could not be shut. Apart from the obvious security concern, the room was also exposed to constant outside noise, making it uncomfortable to stay in. Unfortunately, the receptionist's attitude was dismissive. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, she commented that "no one can climb up to the third floor to get into your room," which completely overlooked the issues of security, safety, and guest comfort.
We returned to the hotel at around 12:00 am, almost nine hours after first reporting the issue, only to find that nothing had been done and the window was still wide open. As a result, bugs had flown into the room, making it even more unpleasant.
We went back to reception, where the night shift staff came to inspect the window. They made several attempts to close it but were unable to do so. Initially, we were again told that there were no spare rooms available. However, after checking again and spending a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the situation, they eventually managed to find another room for us to move into. The condition of the original room was unacceptable, and the response from the daytime front desk staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and fell well below the standard of customer service we expected.

Good location with safe parking
Room was very hot and not much insulation between rooms. We could hear talking and coughing from next door guests most of the night.

Good
Rooms were a good size and quiet. The free brews in the entrance was a nice treat!
The tv remote was missing, there is no mirror above the dressing table which was awkward to do my hair. Also the bathroom was so slippy. My partner fell out the bath and it’s left him with a large purple bruise on his leg. Even when using the anti slip mat in the shower.

Good
Great location — only a 10-minute walk to the city centre. The staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was tasty, and the on-site parking was cheap and convenient compared to city centre prices.
The hotel badly needs maintenance. The carpet in our room was very dirty and the bathroom tiles were stained. The main ceiling light didn't work during our stay, and on our final morning the bathroom lighting failed completely, so we couldn't even get ready for check-out properly. When we reported it at reception, we were just told "what can we do, you're checking out anyway." Sockets and furniture are visibly worn out. Sadly, I wouldn't stay here again.

Good
Liked the size of the room, the number of windows and the wardrobe space. Also liked the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. Liked being at the end of the corridor, we had a King Suite.
Didn't like the fact there was no longer a bar or any room service. Didn't like we only had one tea bag in our room. Didn't like the sausage and bacon at breakfast but the rest of the breakfast met our expectations. All staff were great

The location in great for Central Manchester and not that far from Salford Quays
The shower controls were partly broken. Had to ask reception for toilet roll.....little in the way of room servicing.
