Poor
We checked into our room at around 3:00 pm and immediately discovered that the window would not close and was stuck wide open. We reported this to the front desk straight away, but were told that nothing could be done until the night shift started. We were also repeatedly told that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no other rooms available.
We explained that it was not acceptable or safe to have a room with a window that could not be shut. Apart from the obvious security concern, the room was also exposed to constant outside noise, making it uncomfortable to stay in. Unfortunately, the receptionist's attitude was dismissive. Rather than acknowledging our concerns, she commented that "no one can climb up to the third floor to get into your room," which completely overlooked the issues of security, safety, and guest comfort.
We returned to the hotel at around 12:00 am, almost nine hours after first reporting the issue, only to find that nothing had been done and the window was still wide open. As a result, bugs had flown into the room, making it even more unpleasant.
We went back to reception, where the night shift staff came to inspect the window. They made several attempts to close it but were unable to do so. Initially, we were again told that there were no spare rooms available. However, after checking again and spending a considerable amount of time trying to resolve the situation, they eventually managed to find another room for us to move into. The condition of the original room was unacceptable, and the response from the daytime front desk staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and fell well below the standard of customer service we expected.

Poor
The room was spacious which was nice!
It’s not the hotels fault but during the heat wave it was an absolute nightmare to stay at, there is apparently 12 rooms that have AC and we couldn’t swap rooms on any of the nights we stayed there. We struggled immensely to sleep at night. The window can barely open so the wind doesn’t go in too much as well, we thought at least if we can have one more fan, as each room has one fan but it was a small fan that could barely cool the entire room let alone two people. However when we asked for an extra fan, one of the night shift staff said it’s only one fan per room, so as much as we didn’t like that, we accepted that we won’t get a good sleep. But the next morning when we asked another staff at the desk they said each room is allowed one extra fan usually but they were out of it because someone has been hoarding too many fans in their room. It was disappointing the rules changed depending on the staffs and the things they said kept on changing. There was also a night club near the hotel on our side of the room so when we had to keep the windows open the whole night we simply couldn’t sleep because of the loud music and and laughter and talking the whole time as well. Overall a very bad stay, but some of it were just very bad luck to get the room near the club, and have the heat wave however I hope they do install some AC or even a portable one for future staying guests.

Location that’s about it. It’s baffling that it’s classified as a 4 star hotel.
Room was extremely hot, like a furnace in summer. Staff was rude at check out.

Wonderful
The staff are exceptional. They were always willing to listen and help whenever I needed it. My initial room had a door that wouldn’t lock and once I informed them they promptly shifted me to another room.
There wasn’t an in-house restaurant or room service for food. But this is just a minor nitpick. Overall I have no complaints.

Very close to venue we were visiting (factory international).

Pleasant
The room was spacious, the shower was nice once you gave it a minute or two to heat up.
We loved the option to pay a tenner for an extra hour for late checkout.
It was close to pharmacies, Tesco express and sainsburys as well as a load of restaurants.
The reception staff were lovely and helpful.
On Saturday (21/03/26) we went down for breakfast and were greeted with rudeness, felt like we were an inconvenience even though we arrived 35/40 minutes before breakfast ends. There was hardly any food left and the staff member was cleaning up before the end time.
The hearing in the room was very hot and took a good while to cool down.
The bed was two singles combined rather than a double. This was awkward because there was a gap in the middle of the bed.
We spent three nights and the room bins, toilet roll and towels were never replaced or emptied. Clearly no house keeping.

The service was great I had emailed them to try to move rooms which was appreciated, staff were great , Ethan the night manager was a Star and very knowledgeable about Manchester. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable.
Our only gripe was the nightclub which seemed very close and you can here everything that's going on on the next room.
