Not clear enough messaging about no air con. Expected no windows - but just a fan in a closed box odd not worth the money. Only the most basic of amenities in the room.

The location was central and close to the things I was trying to see in Manchester which is why I booked in the first place. The bar was also ok.
Was given a room without windows which I didn't think would be a problem as I assumed it would have Aircon like every other hotel I've been to ever. However this wasn't the case and the temperature controls on the wall were purely for decoration and guest annoyance, as a result the rooms became a furnace. The first night we were given a fan in an attempt to remedy the situation. The introduction of forced air induction however converted our standard furnace room into a blast furnace room with the added bonus of an annoying sound. In the morning I spoke to one of the staff who assured us that if we came back at 4 we could switch out to a room with a window. This however was a lie and was basically told I never had this conversation. Maybe I was suffering some sort of delirium who knows. Although the location is nice and central be careful to avoid the heroin addicts that loiter around outside. The staff were aware that without window or Aircon, when the temperature in Manchester is high, the rooms are unsuitable for business, but instead of taking them out they continue profiting from them and just have several fans prepared for when the guests complain.

No wi fi in my room. When I wanted a taxi nobody could give me a phone number and the gadget to contact a taxi company was not working. No warning or explanation about works going on outside the hotel and therefore limited walking space.

Pleasant
The location was perfect; 30 seconds from the city centre but still quiet. Very near the station and loads of restaurants, bars, museums, etc.
We had a windowless room, which was fine and what we booked, however it was ROASTING. Luckily they provided a pair of fans that helped but it was still far warmer than desirable. The water pressure in the shower was rather poor too.

Wonderful
Iit was my first time to manchester, but i can telll you that the location was very easy for me to find. I got delayed coming and after reaching out to the receptionist he was so polite on the phone. Upon arrival, they were very welcoming and i would love to come back when ever i visit back.
The only thing i like was the bathroom sink, it was not working it was blocked. Every other things were perfect and clean.

Location was right on the center, can't complain at that. It was also cheap
It is clearly a very tired building and overdue for a revamp. picture Bournemouth in the '90s with no renovation since. It is exactly what it says on the tin
