Location was decent
The bedrooms were a bit of a joke.
The standard of maintenance and decoration was appalling and you could not swing a cat in it, it was tiny.
Thankfully we were only there for one night.

Near to the venue were visiting
Water stains running down the walls in the room. Basic TV services, messaged and emailed about parking with a discount then told on the day the discount doesn’t work anymore. It was too late to research other parking in area because we relied on the hotels misinformation.

Location great. Staff excellent. Bed comfortable. Shower pressure amazing. Would stop here again.
The room was a tad too warm. The curtains block any breeze coming through the window. No airconditioning but there was a fan. Interior a touch dated but not the end of the world.

Great location, very friendly helpful staff. The hotel was actually much nicer than I’d expected having read reviews saying it was previously student accommodation. I liked the wooden statue in the entrance and the swinging pendulum.
The rooms were absolutely fine for the price, but one of the bedside lights didn’t turn on, and the mattress was springy and not very comfy.

Terrible smell of sewage coming from my single room bathroom. 341. Also the extractor fan wasn't working. Smell was that bad i had to sleep with the window open all night.

Since the hotel mainly caters to conferences and seminars, it was constantly busy, and unfortunately guest service and making travelers feel valued seemed to have been forgotten.
The hotel was constantly crowded, yet there seemed to be very little care or attention given to guests. It felt as if the focus was on finding new ways to charge extra rather than providing a comfortable experience. Even basic items came with a fee — for example, borrowing an umbrella cost £3, and there were charges for things that most hotels would normally offer as a courtesy.
The place honestly reminded me of an old-fashioned guesthouse rather than a hotel with its current star rating. I struggle to understand how it received that rating in the first place.
What stood out most was the atmosphere. The staff didn’t seem happy, welcoming, or engaged. Smiles were hard to find, and interactions felt rushed and impersonal.
Overall, it was a strange experience and not one I would want to repeat.
