The lady on reception, I’m sorry I didn’t get your name, but you are brilliant!! Loved the quaintness and grandeur of the main building and imagining what it looked like years ago, it’s a little dated in places, however it’s an old building so it’s got quirks, overall very good! Breakfast very good also!

The location to the airport is ideal and only a ten minute drive but the best thing was how pleasant the lady on reception was.
The water took a while to heat up in the morning but that was only an issue cause I woke up late otherwise it wouldn’t matter.

The staff. Claire went above and beyond, to change ny room, aftee i pinted oyt tgat the toiket window, was no longer opaque.
There were somw cobwebs here and there, but pretty good, generally.

Great Breakfast, excellent staff and service. The beds where lovely and comfortable and white clean bedlinen loads of parking which is handy for manchester, dont expect frills or extras but it is a great budget object
the exterior and corridoors need attention and some of the decor is dated/damaged - my room had a rug that needed attention and the trim on the bath but it was clean and tidy

Not very much.
The entrance was unlit so I had to feel my way to the main door when I arrived at 8pm. I had accidentally booked a single room; it was basically an eaves cupboard and incredibly cramped. The room was extremely cold when I arrived as the wall mounted electric heater wasn't switched on. The hand basin was in the main bedroom and not in the shower room, it was so small that it was barely functional. The shower room was unheated and had no extractor fan. The shower door didn't close properly and the pressure of the shower was so low that I struggled to wash myself and my hair properly.
There was no space by the bed to put a glass of water etc - other than on the floor. The room was a bit tatty.
The whole property felt unloved and uncared for. I left as soon as I was able.
