The price was good and location perfect for visiting my daughter
Our shower didn't work, room very basic, not all TV channels worked. Breakfast was a shambles, absolute basic provision of over cooked eggs, no butter, or marmalade. Very slow service restocking eggs.

Nice old building but very rundown, reasonably priced
Really poor standard of cleanliness, poor breakfast selection, staff very unenthusiastic, gardens a mess, potholes everywhere, rooms in poor condition (we do appreciate it’s a budget hotel, but no excuse for food spills on carpet and loads of hair in the shower)

On arrival, the assistant was very helpful and polite. Showed us to our room and was responsive.
The guest in the next room had their tv on way too loud and with paper thin walls, made it difficult for us to sleep when we were up for early flights at 3am. Only managed 4 hours sleep. Owner / receptionist did go to their room to ask to turn tv down but didn’t respect there request.

And it was good to have a couple of hours window to have breakfast which meant that I could get it when I was ready instead of having a pacific time

It’s a lovely old building with original charm and I loved the stained glass windows and older furniture to add to the charm. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The fridge and microwave were a great addition. I’ll definitely be staying again.
The carpets could do with cleaning or replacing as they’re a little old and worn in places but nothing major.
