Perfect Location within walking distance of Bars, Shopping, and overall attractions.
Quite a walk to Piccadilly Train Station. I thought that it would be closer.

Friendly staff and the nice room and bathroom
Low water pressure. loose shower head fitting. No safety rail in the shower. Rooms aren't sound proofed as advised. hotel doors don't close properly witch leads you to slam the doors shut to make sure they actually close properly. And breakfast is a completely rip off. Your paying £15 for essentially cereal or ham or hard boiled eggs with toast. Completely a wasted off money.

Very large sitting area on the ground floor. Good location. Reasonable price. Staff happy to provide iron and ironing board when I requested for one.
Small wardrobe. I had to get an iron and ironing board from the front desk. No kettle/cups in the room.

I arrived at the hotel after 10pm so I was tired. The receptionist was pleasant enough, she proceeded to tell me that I was booked into (such and such a room, I presume luxury) but 'WE have changed the room booking to third floor room 30; it is a bigger room and has a bigger accessibility bathroom. I actually prefer this room'. I asked what does that mean? The bathroom is bigger. I said ok as I was too tired and hadn't seen the room yet. When I arrived at the room it looked comfortable enough but the bathroom was an accessible bathroom with a raised toilet, a very large shower area with no shower curtain which took away the luxury feel of the room I had previously booked. In addition, when I booked with bookin.com, I was told breakfast was included, only to be told at reception, that my booking is room only. When I questioned it she asked me if I booked through booking.com, I said yes. It appears to be a regular error. Breakfast was not included but I could add it for £14.50 which was particularly disappointing given the circumstances. As for the view... a massive red brick wall and large drain pipes round the back of the hotel was not at all appealing. I quickly shut the curtains again. Although I didn't make a fuss at the time because I was only staying for one night, the room and facilities were not what I undestood I had booked.
The room I was given was not what I understood I had originally booked, particularly the accessible bathroom configuration. I was also disappointed that breakfast which I understood was included when I booked, was subsequently unavailable without an additional £14.50 charge, and the rear -facing view facing a brick wall and massive drain pipes was very unattractive.

Good value hotel in a convenient city centre location. The room was very clean and the bed was particularly comfortable.
Would have liked to have had some drinking water in the room and/or at reception as there is in other Motel One's

Motel One Manchester - Piccadilly was the perfect stay for my husband and I! Close for when we arrived by train with all our luggage, close to transit for day trips, etc. Housekeeping was terrific. We did not choose to buy the continental breakfast with our stay, however there are plenty of options nearby. The staff member who checked us in even did a great job finding us a space that had somewhat of a view. And checkout was a breeze!
Not much comes to mind. It took us a little to figure out we needed a door key in the slot inside the room for lights etc to work, and finding all the spots to hang clothes. Some kind of label or decal like was on the cupboard for tea/coffee station would be helpful.

Incredible location right next to both the train station and tram.
One thing that can make or break a hotel experience for me is the bathroom - and it was gorgeous. A very modern bathroom with a lovely spacious shower.
All the staff I interacted with were great and a credit to the company.
The bar on the ground floor was wonderful too, it’s rare to see people dressed in their best in UK hotels, but this is worth it. A wonderful atmosphere and wonderful people.
I travel to Manchester frequently for events, and I hope to stay in this hotel for every one of them in the future.

Being next to the Manchester Piccadilly train station, the location was ideal as I had a morning flight. It was also a short walk away from the tram stop, with access to the city center. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet!

It was my first time visiting Manchester, and I was travelling solo, so finding a comfortable and convenient place to stay was important to me.
The guy at reception who greeted me and helped with my check-in was really friendly, informative and attentive to my questions. The hotel was comfortable and conveniently located close to the city centre, which was sooo handy!
As a solo traveller, I felt safe throughout my stay, and I knew that if I had any issues, the reception staff would have been happy to help.
There's also a bar in the hotel lounge, where the drinks were cheaper than I expected, and the bar staff were welcoming too. I was pleasantly surprised! There's even another bar right outside the hotel, which was super convenient.
Overall, I was really happy with my stay. The hotel is literally just 3-5 minutes away from the train station, making it perfect for exploring Manchester, especially if you're travelling solo!

Clean, super close to Manchester Piccadilly.
The cups in the room are plastic hot drink cups minus the lids. I don’t mind a plastic cup but these were so stained you just could t drink from them. No idea why they just don’t use regular cups that don’t stain.
