The breakfast was lovely . Fresh and good selection.
The bed was big however wasn't a double but 2 singles pushed together.
Priced high for limited access.. city view windows couldn't see out off. Condensation.
TV Basic regular stations.
No WiFi in the rooms no WiFi TV
Duvet was very thin . No extra pillows or duvet in the room.

It’s an old run down hotel. The drains are clogged and rooms are very basic.

Toilets smelt really bad like a fish market. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were poor - only one tea bag & minimal milk

Staff were very good, breakfast was nice with more than enough options. Our room was clean.
Brilliant location, short walk from train station and very close to shops.
Room was cold on entry but warmed up slowly after turning on the heating. Shower didnt get as hot as i like (personal preference) Hotel was hosting a university event so lifts were taken over by non paying guests.

Had room at the top floor. Waiting a while for elevator. Stopped at each floor and sometimes when back up few stops. Seem like we never get out

The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned by housekeeping so they gave us a privilege room instead. We dropped our bags and went out for the rest of the day. On returning the room was extremely cold so tried to put the thermostat up on the controls. This did not work after several attempts and blew cold air and the red light flashing. We then got out the heater which had a wheel missing and no sockets anywhere near the bed to plug it in. The mirror was a complete waste of time too as there were no ceiling lights anywhere near the dressing table apart from a small table lamp which gave out very little light.We have stayed at the Mecure many times and never had any problems. Room 515 was very disappointing especially as we had paid over £200 for the night.

Toiletries and bathroom supplies were good.
Room was cold. Only two little plug in radiators that didn't heat the room enough. No milk in the room so couldn't have a cup if tea.

Local to the city. Bar staff in the main bar were lovely. Especially the Ghanaian lady.
I wanted a hot bath after travelling but when i came to run the bath the Plug did not fit the bath. When I called reception no one answered. When I went down to reception was told someone would come up to the room in 10 minutes and sort the problem.When asked reception again I was told it was a busy evening. Nobody came so was unable to take a bath.
