I arrived as a last minute check in with my son with nowhere to stay (on Boxing Day). We had been through a horrible few hours and were exhausted and in a bit of a crisis. The staff were exceptionally kind to us and made sure we were both ok. We had been turned down from many hotels in the city as I didn’t have ID on me and therefore wasn’t allowed to book and I was starting to panic I would be out on the streets for the night - despite having money to book somewhere (but a quickly dying phone, not appropriately dressed for the weather and had none of my possessions on me - apart from my phone - thank god for Apple Pay)
The room was lovely and clean and comfortable and right in the middle of the city. Though we were only staying as somewhere warm and safe for the night this didn’t really matter to us. The staff however went above and beyond to make sure me and my son were ok. I am so incredibly grateful for their compassion and kindness that night.

The views and size of the bed.
The parking was a massive problem, there were no signs saying to pay on the way in and we took pictures to prove it. The room wasn’t that clean as I found sweets from previous guests on the floor when I entered the room. We had constant buzzing noises which interrupted our sleep and when we raised the issue, we got told to move rooms where the heating wasn’t working and it was freezing.

The people were very hospitable the guy who served us was absolutely amazing and loved his job everyone was very kind and helpful the hotel room had a beautiful view and was in great condition

The breakfast was good and the location was good.
The windows had lots of condensation and the heat in the room didn't work. They definitely need an upgrade. Shouldn't have to climb into a bath to use the shower.

The staff were very friendly and it was in a perfect location
The room was very basic and looked worn! The bed was two singles pushed together and there was a rattling noise in the room which kept me up most the night. I think it might be the old fashion bed air con unit

There was an initial mixup with our room as we had emailed to upgrade the room. On arrival the upgraded room had not been actioned and the hotel was full. The lady on reception said sorry. 15 minutes later a knock on our door. The lady from reception said as an apology she had found a upgrade room for us. The room was lovely.
The Internet wasn't great in the hotel it kept dropping out
