Lovely, spacious hotel. Huge rooms with comfy beds. Nice walks by the Irwell and only 5 minute walk to restaurants. The reception staff were friendly and cheery, a credit to the hotel. The only slight disappointment was no swimming pool. Apparently they had a previous arrangement with Bannattyne spa but this has finished.
It would have been nice to have use of a pool
