Check in was straight forward, room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Restaurants were good
We booked this hotel because it had a swimming pool for us to enjoy with the kids. Unfortunately the pool heating system was broken so we couldn’t use it. Therefore we could have booked a cheaper hotel in a more central location for a lesser cost.

The pool, sauna and steam room were amazing. It was a shame the hot tub was not working. The staff were lovely and welcoming especially in the bar and restaurant. Reception staff could have been more welcoming and smiled as they are the first contact for the hotel. The bar food was lovely and very tasty.
The heating in our room was not working along with the remote for the tv. Reception sent a new remote and provided a small oil heater however as it was one of the coldest nights of the year it took forever to heat the room up. The reception staff were not very welcoming and were too busy talking to each other and not the customers. The pool facilities were stunning but the jacuzzi was not working. There were no sockets or usb ports at the side of the bed for charging your phone you had to charge it at the opposite side of the room on the dressing table. Breakfast was served on a buffet basis however as all the lids were on the dishes the hot lamps were not able to keep the food warm and everything was cold sausages, bacon, beans and hash browns so I did not enjoy this even although it cost over £15 definitely not worth it.

The room was clean
Absolutely disappointed! When I arrived at the room the light wasn't working and I was provided with a broken heater. I asked for 2 bathrobes and slippers and was charged £30 but later on I found out by a different staff member at the reception that they don't charge for bathrobes.

One absolute bright and fabulous find was the Italian restaurant, San Carlo (doubt it has ought to do with the hotel), where staff were willing to go the extra mile, where the food was well above average, a joyful experience. The hotel UGH!!
We reserved a suite, 2501, a three mile hike from reception. The room was uninviting, cold, without character. Cold it was. We adjusted thermostat to 35 degrees, which was a waste of time, the temperature did not rise above 17 degrees. The in room tea availability was sparse, biscuits, probably the smallest and cheapest on the market were below normal standards. The shower head was disgustingly dirty, the shower water pressure was low. Staff were adequate, no going that extra mile at this hotel. As for the executive lounge, double UGH!!

Great staff and restaurants. Room was lovely and spacious
Although there were not enough lower priced options. More selection in the shop (eg cigarettes) would have been good for non drivers like myself (although it was probably a saving grace)- given it is difficult to get anywhere to shop.
