The hotel are aware of my concerns and they refunded me as they totally understand how disappointed and unsatisfactory the conditions were.
Will not be staying there again.
However the reception staff were amazing but not the management

Really lovely experience at this hotel.
Very friendly staff. Especially at the morning breakfast!
We arrived a couple of hours early before check in, we were told our room was ready, but if we wanted to go in it, we would have to pay the extra £10 an hour.
I think that’s extremely tight, as we had paid £170 for the night and then told the room was ready and waiting.
I understand early check in is more money, but when it is all ready and waiting you would think you would be allowed to just go in the room that little bit earlier with no charge.

Convenience to the venue we were heading to.
The power sockets were very limited and the aircon wouldn’t blow cold enough making the nighttime sleeping difficult.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had somehow booked a room with two double beds, which we didn’t need, so the check-in staff adjusted the booking and gave us complimentary access to their happy hour drinks and meals which was great. We were also happy with the airport shuttle service.
The layout of the building is quite confusing but we managed to navigate this okay.

The hotel was clean, very handy to Manchester airport and the hotel facilities were very good. Airport shuttle was quick and easy to access, the driver was very friendly and helpful and did an excellent job of letting us know where to go to check into flights upon dropping us off.
Check in took a little while as my booking was not found immediately. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Clean, well serviced, very close to airport with free bus to the hotel from the airport and a very reasonabley priced transfer to the airport also. Food is very expensive at the hotel but the quality does justify the price. It was Devine! The pool is one of the best I have been to in the area with nice clean changing facilities including lockers and hair dryers etc. sauna steam room and cold plunge pool also
Like I say the food is very expensive in the restaurant with no lower budget options on site. There is quite a large selection of snacks beers and wine available to buy in a shop like area near the entrance to the hotel however a bottle of "chicken wine" was nearly £25 which is a bit of a joke tbh and makes me doubt the quality of the wine available to purchase in the restaurants
