The pipe work in 236 was whistling during the night in the bathroom area . We eventually found it and closed the Bathroom door tightly to try to alleviate the noise . We reported it to front desk management in the morning

Enjoyed this hotels location and contemporary feel. It's only a short walk from Piccadilly train station, and near to a variety of restaurants, shops, and Manchester's nightlife.

The location was good and my room was relatively quiet on a night when Manchester was busy celebrating an England win in the World Cup
I am allergic to feathers. I could have managed with the duvet but the pillows were feather and there were no spare pillows available in the room. I checked the website and didn't see a mention of the down bedding. I used to mention it when booking but am so used to hotels catering for my needs either by using all nonallergic bedding or having a choice in the room. I went down to Reception and the receptionist was thrown by my request. It was about 9.00pm. I'd only just checked in. Eventually a very helpful member of staff turned up with a single quilt and a pillow which was all she could find. The next problem was the deadlock didn't work on the door. This was around midnight. I ended up pushing the armchair in front of the door. When I mentioned this as I was checking out, I was told that because it was an accessible room, the hotel disabled the deadlock in case the occupant called for help. I felt vulnerable not being able to lock the door as I'm sure other occupants would. I have been informed by an occupational therapist that the hotel could have found alternatives to disabling the deadlock. As the room was an accessible one it had a ramp under the carpet in front of the bathroom door. This wasn't marked and I tripped over it more than once. The bathroom was a wet room. Not my preferred option especially as I seen photos on the website of bathrooms with contained showers.

Spacious room, comfy bed.
The room smelt of draina for the whole evening. If it wasnt so late and only being there for one might we would of requested a different room. The shower is missing all the grout in between the tiles on the floor.
