The location was perfect as I came by train and the hotel was just round the corner. I was travelling onto Harrowgate the next day so it was all very convenient. Breakfast was really good and hot and had a good selection of fruit and cereals.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. I was really impressed with sustainability policy and nice to have proper mugs and glasses.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was excellent and made it very easy to explore Manchester on foot. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my visit, which made a big difference.
The room was very clean and well maintained. I particularly appreciated the shower, great water pressure and a modern design. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety of options to start the day properly. The mini gym was also a pleasant bonus and well equipped for a quick workout.
Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Its location right by Piccadilly station.
Totally indifferent staff service. It’s part of the huge Marriott chain but not clearly branded as such. Check-in was on auto pilot. Sitting in the lobby after checking out, I realised how random the level of service and information provided was, but all of it was by the numbers. I’d also paid in advance for two nights. When I tried to change to just one night, they refused my request.

We stayed at The Reach for the weekend of the track cycling championships at the National Cycling Centre. This was a great location for us, with access to the tram network at Piccadilly, but it was also easy to walk out to the Velopark passing Co-op Live and the Emirates stadium on the way. The hotel is bright and modern, though with art deco touches. Our room was compact but had pretty much everything we needed. Fresh milk in the fridge was a bonus. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was great. We were aware of guests in adjoining rooms but weren't disturbed in any way and had a very comfortable stay.
A minor quibble but there was no English Breakfast Tea in the room and the reception staff couldn't lay their hands on any. We ended up filching some from the housekeeping trolley in the corridor on our penultimate day.

Stylish, comfortable and clean room in a good location. Check in very efficient. Public areas very smart.
The room was on the small side, there wasn't a lot of natural daylight and it felt a bit stuffy.
