This is our second time visiting, we like the location, the cosy rooms, the pool and the facilities
Despite mentioning this was our mini moon the week after our wedding, there wasn’t even so much of a message in the room for congratulations. (Previously on our anniversary stay we received a dessert with a candle) the key card constantly stopped working. At one point we had been in the pool and had to keep going up and down in the lift before someone could buzz us (in our robes) down to reception to tell them about the key card AGAIN. Each time with a slight apology and confusion as to what the issue was. There was also a wedding on the Saturday night and as we were in 38U the balcony was directly above our room with extremely large music playing throughout the night and well into the early morning. For a relaxing stay without our children for the first time in years this was quite disappointing to say the least

The room was lovely, gym facilities were good.
We requested numerous times for an early checking. I understand this can never be confirmed but as the hotel felt quiet we were hopeful it could be accommodated. We had a 30th celebration to attend at 2:30 and we arrived at 1:30pm I understand this is 90 minutes before check in time but we had to get ready in the gym changing rooms (which was fine) and then leave our bags at reception. Even just as we left for the meal the room still hadn't been managed to be prepared for us so we didn't actually see the room until around midnight when we got back. I booked a spa treatment for the next morning and was notified by a knock on the door an hour before that the therapist hadn't shown in for work and they were unable to carry out the treatment. I wonder why she didn't show after a bank holiday Sunday? Doesn't leave much to the imagination. As I say I am aware that early check ins are just a request but for the price point, the fact the place felt quiet and our explanation it would have been great for this to have been accommodated it made the situation in getting ready difficult. When we used the gym facility on the Monday morning there was no staff member in there so when I wanted to order a protein shake from the counter I was unable to.

Staff were so lovely and friendly. They'd left a sweet treat in my birthday which was a nice touch. Room very clean and bath next to the bed was ideal. Close to restaurants and bars.
