Staff went above and beyond. The hotel was lovely and clean and smelt amazing as always!
Felt the breakfast was a little overpriced as it was buffet, therefore was cold, plus having to get yourself. No ones fault though.

The Leonardo offers a clean, functional, reasonably spacious room. It is very well located for a walk to the Manchester Central Convention Complex. It's a 17 minute walk from Piccadilly, and 9 minutes from St Peters Square. I have stayed in this chain before - it's a step above Premier Inn. The staff let me in to my room a bit earlier than the scheduled 3pm check in which I really appreciated.
Nothing struck me as odd or unpleasant - it's a little soulless, but that's just the nature of these corporate chains.

I liked the location
I have stayed previously and the room I had was larger compared to the one we had this time. I found the price was quite high not sure if the price has gone up with shows on. The bedside table has not been cleaned as there were sticky marks on.

Good location for central Manchester. The room was well provisioned and comfortable - or would have been except the heating didn't work. I had a corner room with great views over the city centre.
Parking. The hotel advertises itself as having "Parking" - it does not. They offer a discount on a commercial parking garage about 500m from the hotel. Enjoy the walk in the rain with your luggage. I was specifically looking for a far better solution than this.
Heating: I could not get the heat to come on at all on the first night. In the afternoon when I returned from work, I mentioned this at the front desk. I was told: "Oh the unit needs resetting we have started it at 23C - it will be fine when you come back from dinner" - it wasn't, no one checked. And since I was coming in at 10:30pm I gave up and went to bed. So yeah - no heat at all for my stay.
