Wonderful
Great location for the centre, for the coach station and the Piccadilly railway station. The staff were helpful well beyond what they could be expected to do. Despite being so central the hotel was not noisy. Conenient for several bus services.

Very Good
The hotel was easy to find, very clean, the bed was comfy and the shower really good.
It was a basic room, but that reflects in the price, but had everything you needed. If you want a view though you may be disappointed. All in all a great location, perfect for us for the one night.
A view that wasn't the back of another building. Although to be fair, hard to find in a city

Pleasant
Location was just what I needed for my visa appointment in TLScontact just down the road, plus it’s walking distance to Manchester Piccadilly. Room size is just right for one person, and the wifi is reliable and speedy enough for online call and basic work. The shower’s water pressure is strong and the temperature sets very quickly - these are my favourite part of the stay. The receptionist offered a complimentary 1 hour late check out, which was very kind, otherwise it’s £10 per hour. They also let me to stay in the lobby for a few hours after check out to do some work, and it’s very quiet until it’s not at around check in time when new guests started to arrive, but overall pleasant.
The air conditioner has a loud cricket chirping noise when set to the cool mode - the sound made me really anxious, and disrupted my sleep. The hair dryer also produces a high pitched whirring sound I was afraid it was going to trip at some point. I was in the 5th floor facing Portland Street and the room didn’t get enough sunlight from the window.

Very Poor
Location is good
Aircon is broken which causes a very loud drip in the rooms. Also it causes puddles, damp and mould. Avoid at all costs

Very Poor
Good central location.
Being asked to pay for leaving luggage at check out for a few hours. Across Manchester I regularly stay in hotels and have never been asked to pay in this way. When discussing this with hotel staff, they were dismissive and appeared unconcerned about it.

Pleasant
Staff were lovely and so helpful. The location is also really good, right in the center.
The walls are paper thin so we were up all night and barely slept because of the noise. We did complain throughout the night as one neighbour was playing loud music and singing until 2am but the noise didn’t stop because of the complaints. It was really disappointing and annoying as we had to be up so early and no one is really to blame except for the fact that the rooms should be more soundproof. Also, the luggage room where you can leave things came at a cost of £2 per item which felt a bit cheeky as most hotels do not charge for this.

Location was convenient to train station and downtown. Staff was superb and friendly. The facility is old and and somewhat dated in comparison to modern hotels but the rooms are well maintained and provide sufficient closet and storage space for suitcases and incidentals.
Everything was fine.
