Incredibly comfortable bed and quilt. Very noisy from the street below, don't know if the window were double glazed or not. The hot water in the shower took at least two minutes to actually come through hot. I'm an early riser so wanted a coffee a 5am, would have been nice to be able to make my own in the room instead of having to get dressed and go down to reception. Good choice of stuff for breakfast
No kettle in room. Incredibly bad WiFi speed. I couldn't even listen to music whilst I was getting ready to go out and messages were taking over 10 minutes to be sent and received. And the room was so dark it was very difficult to do make up. I had to sit on a towel on the floor infront of the mirror as no other option

Very clean. Comfortable large bed. Friendly staff. Car parking 3 minutes walk away. The Etihad is only a 10 minute tram ride away or 25 minute walk.
The separate toilet is very small and cramped. If you are larger than normal size, or long legs it's impossible to sit down without having the door open!

Good value stay for a night halt. The rooms were tidy and clean. Special mention of the front desk (Indian) lady who was super - coordial for us and arranged the rooms almost next to each other.
Looking at the budget hotel couldn't ask for more but if the wash basin would have been inside the bathroom, would have been nice.

The location, price and cleanliness won me over. We stayed just the one night which was perfect as you wouldn't want to stay longer due to room size.
It's a budget location so don't expect grand rooms. That said, you get everything you need.

All went well - standard and facilities are 'budget level' - but very good value for money - location good, close too Metro and only 1 stop on Metro to main station - staff very helpful and friendly
I travelled alone - I am not sure what type of room I booked but I was allocated a triple room - which was too big - a smaller room would have been better.

Didn’t like the way it was designed for the shower and having the sink in the room, it meant my brother who I was visiting couldn’t really come over to the room when I was getting ready as very open

We ask an extra pillow and the recepcionist in the night didn't want to give it to us. The room is very small and the staff (except the general manager) very distant and cold with guests.

Disappointing
It was a large room. Location was not bad, it was close to a tram station. Check in and out process was smooth. Staff was helpful. Bathroom space was ok, water pressure was good.
Room looked clean, however in details it wasn't. It was a large triangular room and in the far corner of the room, there were some bugs and spiders. Also, room felt like a hospital room rather than a hotel room. Room lighting was not enough. Toilet cabin was too small, I'm not sure how can a tall person would fit in there.

Wonderful
Great location, just a short walk to the centre ( 15 mins). Had a Costa and Dominos next door.
Also has a pool table. To be fair, for the price you pay its actually a decent place for a short stay.
Bed was comfy and i had alot of space.
The staff were generally friendly.
The room had a little dirt on the floor. The toilet is very snug, for someone who is built and tall this would be a struggle for you ( i am 5ft and my knees were nearly touching the door).
One of thehousekeeping barely knocked on the door and walked in ( i was on the phone and it really scared me so i shouted at him, he was apologetic).
The heating\air con is a little noisey so remember to switch it off if not in use.

Central location
We feel the room could have been cleaner the corners of the room were quite dusty as were the skirting boards. Also having to pay for a kettle is a little sad. But in today’s climate it’s all about the bottom line profit

I had a really comfortable stay at Ibis Budget Hotel for four days. The staff were very welcoming, especially the receptionist. The free Wi-Fi was reliable, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good. Overall, it was a really nice place to stay, and I would recommend it.
The only small issue was that the second lift was out of order for about three days of my stay. Although there was another lift available, it still caused a slight delay.

Staff was very cooperative. The tram station is just on a two minutes walk. And Manchester Picadally Station is on a 10 mins walking distance.
The breakfast should have more options at least the scrambled egg for vegetarian guests.
