great location. basic but at the price we paid excellent. clean quiet room for £42 and perfect location for tram to coop live and 7min tram to manchester city center.

The staff upgraded us to an accessable room despite us not booking one without us even having to ask
You had to ask for access to the toilet if you weren't checked in, despite it being a disabled toilet. It should be changed to a radar key access so disabled people are able to use it

I thought the hotel was in a really good place, close to the station and the town centre. The staff were incredible, super helpful and so kind and caring, shows that they love their work. And the cleanliness was top tier. These are the only things that saved my stay from being worse.
However. what I didnt like was my room, despite it being just for me, the shower was in the bedroom and it felt a bit exposing. The toilet area was incredibly small to the point i had to keep the door open as i was sitting and my legs didnt have enough room- i was uncomfortable. Then it was freezing in the room and the AC/Heater wasnt going above 24 degrees Celsius (but if felt like it was half that) and as somone whos anemic I get really cold, the staff were so lovely they ended up giving me a space heater however it would turn off after a couple minutes for some reason so my room stayed cold- but i found that running the shower on hot would warm up the room.
Then alongside that I had to pay for tea and kettle!! Ive never seen a place that asks you to foot the bill of tea. milk and sugar all to be in a paper cup.
Never been to a hotel that does any of this until now. Very disappointed.

I was able to stay near to the Co Op Live where I had some employment. It saved me from a precarious journey by late rail replacement service.
I am always happy to stay at the Ibis as I feel at home there.
Cold shower but the maintenance was prompt.
