I loved the intricate & thoughtful details found in the rooms. It is tastefully & uniquely curated from an interior design perspective.
I didn’t like the fact the lobby was on the top floor, that it is listed as a 5 star hotel but doesn’t have a spa. It didn’t feel like other 5 star experiences i have had. I would say it is more of a great 4 star experience in a beautiful boutique hotel with a very cool art direction.

the team are great, the decor is incredible, and the finish on of the building really captures the genre its going for.
Whilst the bar team were friendly, I felt the bar was a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the site. Visually it's beautiful, but I never felt like they were ready for service. Tables required attention, and the bartender, whilst serving snacks, wasn't aware of the allergens in the food serves meaning he had to leave the bar unattended to get information.

The theme was quirky
All the scaffolding on the building external ruined the experience as that is the view we had whilst eating in the dining room or having a drink in the bar. Although the hotel was nice I would not rate it as a 5 star. You would not expect to have Nescafé sachets in the room.

We booked this hotel, for a relaxing night as we was visiting a Jazz evening. We arrived to find the whole property surrounded by scaffolding. To which we was not advised. Checked in, 3 hours of workmen outside our window, angle grinding. No privacy curtains closed all the time, getting ready to go out. Did not sleep as the platforms vibrated throughout the night. Constantly woken up. Breakfast don’t bother cold, we were the only couple in the restaurant, chef really cold food. We were advised would be refunded on the bill. Checked out no refund, the opposite the had to remove room service, that was being charged, we never had it. Shocking will stick with the Lowry. First and last time

very little ...started off badly but outwith hotels control ... we drove past the front door and UNBELIEVABLY , it took ONE HOUR AND TWENTY MINUTES to get back to the front door !!! the young porter was by far the best member of staff we met ..
we arrived at check in to be told in the usual "off hand " manner that they WOULD NOT ACCEPT CASH ! . despite Booking.com site clearly stating i could use " MY PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT " .. an apology due from yourselves ? THAT NEEDS SORTED RIGHT AWAY ,,, we pay cash wherever we go ..so they charged my debit card £316 and then said they wanted a FURTHER £100 deposit for what!! so ,after being there 10 minutes they had £416 of my money ,after all we had just walked in the door ...DO NOT APPROVE OF MONEY BEFORE ANY SERVICE IS GIVEN .. we were somehow given a room upgrade to a very large suite ,which sounds great i know but the reality was that the room was either PITCH BLACK ( you could not see your hand in front of your face ( daytime ) or so unbelievably bright with all 7 lights shining straight down that it hurt our eyes after 30 minutes of the " interrogation spotlights "...we were then advised *( in the usual off handed manner ) like it didnt matter ... that THE RESTAURANT WAS ACTUALLY CLOSED !!! and that we would be dining in the bar area ... we duly arrived at the arranged time ..this time to be advised that although we had booked a b\b and dinner package we were only in fact able to choose from the shortest bar menu i have ever seen..we both selected the salmon starter which came in a huge soup style bowl and was completely lost in it as it was in total .3 or 4 stringy pieces of salmon in creme fraiche ..it would cover half the area of my mobile phone ..in short ..it was an insult, pathetic ...it was even more difficult to select a main course as this choice was also tiny and obscure..my wife had sea bass ...she said it was approximately a quarter of a fish ,cut into 4 wafer like shapes of less than 2 inches square ..we had to pay extra for chips just to busy the plate a bit!! it left only a burger for me ( 5 star ) and they didnt bring my fries. i pointed this out ..she said are you sure ?
