It was themed and the rooms were spacious and beautiful - staff were lovely
They carried out my request for special surprise for birthday and it was fabulous
There was ongoing work and it was entirely covered in scaffolding - there were additional charges that are not transparent when you book such as added service charges and some prices changed without my being notified despite emails

Location, breakfast
Not that I didn’t like more something to consider for regular visitors. It would be nice if there was the opportunity for the staff to check back on the amount of visits we have had , as a regular visitor to the hotel any room upgrade opportunities or options would be a nice touch to keep people returning.

The staff were wonderful. The experience that they provide at the reception on the ground floor and on 6th floor is superb. The room itself was beautiful with lots of amazing little touches. We felt really sad to be going home after being in such amazing surroundings.
The breakfast portions were quite small and the continental breakfast options were quite limited. However, everything looked and tasted amazing.

The staff on the whole were very professional and polite. The room was clean and the bed was comfy.
The shower hose was leaking, the spot light above the mirror was not working so was hard for my partner to do her make up. The extractor fan in the bathroom was useless even with heated mirrors the mirror was misty. The thermostat in the bedroom was way too complicated to use and the room was way too hot.

Everything! Beautiful hotel, even though I knew work was being carried out before I even booked, I received a call the day before checking in to tell me and that it wouldn't affect my stay.

All staff we encountered were friendly, pleasant and polite.
Nothing was too much trouble.
A special mention to Sam in the Honey restaurant, he was rushed off his feet due to staff shortage, but he was still attentive to everyone. This was afternoon tea (booked separately).

Lovely welcome, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful decor , lovely room, very clean and comfortable with little touches to make the stay feel special
Either under staffed or unfamiliar staff for breakfast. No one came to take our breakfast order. By the time we realized no one was coming to take the order and had to go and ask it was close to checkout time so we had to eat in a rush which spoilt the experience. We had to also order toast separately which is fine if you know that, but no one told us so it was too late to get any.
Felt the breakfast experience made it poor value for money compared to the rest of the stay.

Buffet breakfast was appalling! We were overcharged on our bill, for someone else’s meal. I had requested champagne in our room for my husband’s birthday, which they forgot. Won’t be returning!
