lovely to leave a welcome treat but only one portion when we had booked the room for 2 people
There was a welcome letter left on the dressing table. This was for a completely different person. I ended up checking the room to see if he had left any other possessions. It made me feel as if Housekeeping and Reception had failed to communicate

we read alot of reviews before we went about the work going on at the hotel. There is no denying that there are improvements going on, but, it doesn't take away from the the luxury and the amazing hospitality of the hotel. The room was beautiful, the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautiful, a selection of lovely items to help yourself to, plus, tea and coffee and a lovely menu of cooked breakfast options to chose from. The staff at breakfast were all amazing too. we would stay again in a heartbeat! Amazing decor too, remember to look up or might miss some lovely features.
We couldn't fault anything! Yes, we could see scaffolding outside as well as a great view, but it didn't affect our experience at all.

Location and the room was clean
When I arrived by the taxi the door man saw me struggling with my 4 bags and he waited for me to get all my bags inside the hotel how is this a 5 star hotel ! And i came early in the morning so i talked to them if i they can have early check in they told me sorry the man that is occupying my room asked for lat check out and when i said i will leave my luggage with them and go outside until the time comes the concierge guy tell do you want to take your bag and go to another hotel i said no i want to go around and come back then he said ok leave them its ok .
I didn’t like his first respond i felt that if didn’t like what is happening you find your self another hotel - it wasn’t polite at all , and the lift is small and 1 of the 2 lifts wasn’t working there was maintenance maybe it worked later .
My room was big and nice but it didn’t have window they didn’t tell that but they put A projector on the wall to show some pictures but the projector gets hot and shut down by itself . I think this will be my last time in this Hotel .

Really disappointed with the general state of the place and don’t feel the extent or the impact of the refurb works was made clear before we stayed.
Reasonably expensive place where the stay essentially amounts to arriving at a tiny, cramped doorway lobby at ground, leading to a tiny, cramped lobby at 6th, and the back down in the lift to your room. Not what we expect for a supposedly high end hotel.
Roof top bar ok inside, but terrace is just a tiny and pretty shabby smokers corner - I mean, scrappy astroturfing on a roof terrace ?

The service from all staff was exceptional and personal. We visited for my partners birthday and both of us are very happy with our stay. The room size, decor, cleanliness and comfort is fantastic. We will definitely be returning. Thank you all.

Amazing stay, staff couldn’t be more helpful, both the restaurant and roof top bar were fabulous!

We liked the little touches, in the rooms, breakfast. And location for what we needed to do in manchester
The step into the bedroom, was hidden by the stripe on carpet
Small inside, dark, reception etc,
We try and stay in different hotels each time and others were more affordable and better. We love the edwardian and midland as they have a pool and spa

It's a really lovely hotel in a great location . It's expensive but the rooms and facilities are excellent
It's only temporary of course but having workmen on the scaffolding working outside your room at 8 am is a bit disconcerting. Their every word was audible
