The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful, location was the best in Manchester, the Gotham these is fantastic, definitely suggested to everyone!
Only downside was that the rooms were too cold, and cant open any windows

The room was lovely, nice breakfast, nice stylish bar.
The cost of the parking. It's a bit misled in calling it Valet. I thought you would get a Valet with the parking but you don't. There was a mix up in costs which I got told was sorted. But it still isn't. I had to wait around as well whilst it got collected even though the Receptionist put 1130. I didn't get it until nearly 12.30.
Before 9am the builders had started working on the building, it was very noisy so I wasn't getting a lie in. I mentioned it to the manager, he mentioned it to the receptionist but I heard nothing more.

Tom and staff were welcoming, friendly and the rooms are fabulous! So many thoughtful extras in the room.

Disappointing
The bed was amazing - very comfortable and lovely high ceilings. We ordered the strawberries for arrival and they were delicious. Couldn't fault the staff. however when i was in the bar i was waiting for 15 minutes before someone came to see me and even then i had to go and find someone - there was only 2 other tables at this point.
I had saved and saved to come and stay here and advised on my initial booking that it was a very special occasion and i ordered strawberries for arrival. The first room we were put in the windows were filmed out as they were having restoration work on the outer building - to then our surprise - work men were literally out side out window on 2 levels so we had about 5 work men - i specifically booked a room with a bath tub in the bedroom - i couldn't use it because of this. We went to reception and they moved us into another room and the poor people who were yet to check in were having our old room. When we returned from our evening out the room was shaking constantly we found out that we were below the bar/club.........which is level 6 and we were on level 5........so the more executive rooms and what are far over priced what they are, are situated below the club - we couldn't get to sleep before 2:30am! We complained in the middle of the night - the whole stay was disappointing and i had saved and saved to come and stay here and celebrate our first anniversary and i felt like they took our money but didn't care about us as people. Been advised i would get an email with 20% discount and the manager to discuss more but i didn't receive it - despite being advised someone would email me yesterday

Has a nice bar
There was constant building works on the outside. I was informed of this after booking with no ability to cancel. I needed to sleep due to work and that wasn’t possible. The room also wasn’t cleaned properly before I arrived (the did get me a couple of drinks for this though)

It was quite a cold room.
Breakfast no pepper in the pepper pot, a sign of lazy staff, no organisation.

The room was lovely, so was the food and staff.
It sounds silly, but the pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Both me and my wife felt the same. It's a shame, because the rest of the hotel was lovely

The decor was beautiful
The initial payment of £100. I have never stayed in a hotel that takes the money from your bank account - before a purchase with no receipt. Ideally this money should be pre authorised not taken out of the account.
The room was cold.
When we arrived we were told that we had an upgrade, which we hadn’t. (Not that we minded, but why would the receptionist announce this when it wasn’t the case)
Outside the property was scaffolding- the men began working from 7.15am out side the window, hammering and drilling. The experience was disappointing to say the least.
