Located at 100 King Street in the central conservation area, The Rex occupies the former Midland Bank, one of Manchester’s most distinguished buildings. We enjoy every minute of our stay, the staff were very helpful and provided extra care and attention when we asked if we could change rooms due to being in a connecting room. This was no trouble at all. The service and food at breakfast was perfect and the welcome drink was an added bonus. We will definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Staff was nice checking in. Rooftop bar was lovely views and the hotel itself is stunning.
Staff was told we hadn't paid for the drinks but we had due to lack of communication he ran after us which was embarrassing but he did apologise. Wasn't offered a drink checking in so don't think it's 5 star overall.

The welcome on arrival was wonderful! From the offer of a "much appreciated" glass of prosecco to the helpful valet parking The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed
Only a couple of issues, The shower door leaked badly Breakfast was extremely poor quality, everything was overcooked and dry. We did not complain at the time as it took a while to come and we had to leave
