Stayed in the junior suite, quite spacious really comfortable big bed. Shower very big and really good, big bathroom and also very nice big bath in the room
Room service Breakfast was cold and not the best. I ordered some extras like a birthday cake and rose petal turn down on the bed which were put there at the wrong time. I purchased those for when I was out not when I arrived. Also the rose petals were plastic, not what you'd expect from a top class hotel

By the time we arrived at The Gotham, we had already been traveling for nearly 2 weeks, and we were getting weary. We arrived late at night, around midnight and there was something at the check in desk that was super friendly and happy to get us quickly into our room. The room itself was beautiful, comfortable, and very interesting...lots to check out. An experience that we weren't expecting; it was awesome. The shower had a huge rainfall shower head plus another shower head; best shower I'd had in a while! The bed was very soft and comfortable; even the sheets were great. Anyone looking for something a little dark and stormy and interesting should check this hotel out. Highly recommend.
Well, when we were walking to our room, we could hear...um...fun times coming from another room and it was LOUD. Not sure if that is the soundproofing or the people themselves, but I would be aware that others may hear you if you are very enthusiastic.

The team are very friendly and supportive. Special thanks to Jason and his team mate whom are working in the ground floor reception.
System was deducting an amount from my visa every night and that was really annoying, while the receptionist confirmed that it is a system issue and is not really a deduction just a block, but even though I was not comfortable with that treatment.

lovely reception staff in general during check in and check out.
concierge was rude, nosey and too familiar with unnecessary and unprofessional comments constantly about our belongings, look, etc. very involved in our business. made us very uncomfortable during every interaction - made a point to make comments at every opportunity.
bathroom was not working well when we checked in.
shower was leaking .
air conditioning did not work all night.
bed was stiff.
pillows extremely uncomfortable (all 3 pillows)
duvet was far too heavy for summer
tv isn’t smart
NO windows, so no natural light or ventilation, very claustrophobic
carpet was worn and dirty.

I loved the intricate & thoughtful details found in the rooms. It is tastefully & uniquely curated from an interior design perspective.
I didn’t like the fact the lobby was on the top floor, that it is listed as a 5 star hotel but doesn’t have a spa. It didn’t feel like other 5 star experiences i have had. I would say it is more of a great 4 star experience in a beautiful boutique hotel with a very cool art direction.

We booked this hotel, for a relaxing night as we was visiting a Jazz evening. We arrived to find the whole property surrounded by scaffolding. To which we was not advised. Checked in, 3 hours of workmen outside our window, angle grinding. No privacy curtains closed all the time, getting ready to go out. Did not sleep as the platforms vibrated throughout the night. Constantly woken up. Breakfast don’t bother cold, we were the only couple in the restaurant, chef really cold food. We were advised would be refunded on the bill. Checked out no refund, the opposite the had to remove room service, that was being charged, we never had it. Shocking will stick with the Lowry. First and last time

Shower was amazing; staff super helpful;
There was work ongoing at the hotel; we were unaware and no way would we have booked had we known; The bed was tiny supposed to be a superior double - not much bigger than my single! Still no email receipt. Behind curtains pretty unclean.
