Room was nice. Bed and pillows AMAZING. Very tidy. Lovely big shower facilities.
Very cold room. Heating didn't make a difference. Quilts too thin. Bathroom drains made loud noises all night. Loud gurgling noise.

The hotel is very well located in the city centre. Buses, shops and everything you need are very close, which makes it very convenient.
The main issue was the elevators. It took an extremely long time to go up, with long waiting times. I actually missed my taxi because of this. I was directed to use another elevator that was supposed to be better, but when exiting there were many trolleys and lots of boxes blocking the way, which was inconvenient.

The location was really good, right next to Oxford road station. The room was lovely and clean. Staff and breakfast were great.
Pillows were uncomfortable and getting the key cards to work for the elevator was difficult. The mark up for the cost at the weekend is shocking but standard for city hotels.

There was very little tea or coffee sachets, nor milk etc. However a very friendly male member of staff brought some up within 10 minutes.

Hotel is very close to the O2 Ritz.
Check in was easy.
As an IHG member, I was disappointed. We stayed in room 103, an accessible room with a wetroom, and there was a noticeable smell from the drain. There was no extractor fan, and the waste bin was tiny (anyone with a stoma needs a decent sized bin for their bags!). One in five hundred people have a stoma, which is officially classed as a disability: ideally every room in the hotel should have an adequate sanitary bin.
As I shook out my bathtowel, I found a sticky sweet wrapper stuck to it! The towels were also far too small. The showerhead angled AWAY from the shower seat, and I did try to swivel it round, with no luck.
The heating was inadequate...it took literally all night to get the room warm. The bed was poor, with a really bouncy mattress that dipped in the middle and was lumpy on one side. The under-sheet was also heavily creased.
There was a kettle, but nowhere near enough teabags or coffee (or milk & sugar)...we had to go downstairs for top-ups.
Breakfast was lukewarm, and food had obviously been out for some time (this was at 8.15am). The hash browns were chewy, as were the croissants!
Added to this, the staff seemed weary.. polite interaction, but no smiles, so very different from Holiday Inn Expresses we've stayed at in London and Glasgow!
This hotel really needs to do better!
