We had to share a double bed although we booked a twin. Luckily it was just 1 night.

The room was damp and smelly had damp patch on the wall if we were staying for more than one night we would have requested to move rooms we told the receptionist about this but as we weren’t spending any time in the room we stayed in the allocated room

The location
The room was really small, the waterpressure for the shower was awful it was basically a trickle, the room wasn't clean, the chair in the room was absolutely filthy, there was stains everywhere including big brown stains on the carpets, there was stains on the bedding, the bed itself was uncomfortable, the tv was in a corner of the room which wasn't ideal whilst in bed, the breakfast options were good but the hot food wasn't fresh, the lifts weren't working whilst we was there which meant we had to go down the stairs to reception to then walk up 4 flights of stairs with our suitcases to get to our room. The heating in the room was awful the heater was not heating the room as much as it shouldve which made the room very cold

The location was really helpful
The noise from the streets.
Inconsiderate customers disrespectful, loud, destructive behaviour. (Reported to reception)
Toilet and sink pump left in the room.
Shower soap empty (always take our own toiletries anyway).
Limited breakfast and we was present for 8.50 mid week.
Uncomfortable and springy beds, very little sleep.

A warm welcome by the gentleman on reception who was interested in our visit to Manchester and very helpful with directions and suggestions of things to do. A lift was out of order (there were two so wasn't an issue) and he took care to ask if we wanted a lower floor given the remaining lift might be very busy. A minor thing but great customer service we thought.
Couldn't seem to find the ground floor via stairs and always ended up on lower ground. Probably us missing signage though!
