It was close to bus station, shops and restaurants.
The fact, we had a twin room and that the shower and toilet was right in view of my friend and that we had to go outside the room to have a private shower as the screen is see through, not very good when you want privacy.

Great location, and reasonably priced. Quite basic, but perfectly fine for one nights stay. Whilst no coffee making facilities in the room - there are vending machines on site, selling hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks - so just prepare ahead. Will stay again for sure - very handy for business trips - just somewhere to lay your head.

The location was really great - right by the Northern Quarter and Ancoats.
I was able to keep my bags there free of charge.
It was a good price for the location.
The walls are INCREDIBLY thin - I had a very disruptive night with loud party going neighbours.
The shower doors didn’t shut fully.

Pleasant
The bed was very comfortable and very clean, which is the most important thing. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The location is perfect for what I needed, right in the heart of the Northern Quarter. The staff were friendly. Shower is nice and warm, bathroom is clean and sanitary.
The air conditioning didn't work at all, the room was quite warm but as the AC didn't work and the window couldn't be opened there's nothing I could do to cool it down. I booked this hotel because they had AC, so that was rather disappointing. There was quite a lot of noise from upstairs and the corridor - not great sound isolation internally, and it did wake me up a few times. The reception doesn't appear to be 24/7. When I had a shower, the water leaked into the hallway of the room and got some of my clothes wet. The chain for the blinds was broken. The bed was very clean but the rest of the room... it was acceptable but I did have higher expectations.

A little noisy both from above and outside - not sure it has doubled glazing to help keep the noise out

Room was clean, facilities decent and reasonable bed. Very good value.
Blind on window didn't keep out all the light. It can be quite a noisy location, but that is just something to be aware of rather than a complaint.
