The placing of a card on table to denote that the table is occupied is a good idea. However some staff remove it while customer is fetching some more food. A minor irritant!

the room and service was good
at £300 a night it was average. The breakfast at an additional £18 was poor

Gym was well equipped.
Team on reception were helpful.

Room was not clean. The floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in ages.
Metal panel fell out of ceiling. No apology of offer of anything.

The clean warm bedroom. The bed was comfortable and the pillows soft. Heating was controlled in the room. The shower was good and clean. The towels were soft and absorbent.
Restaurant provided a good breakfast but at £17 it was expensive but had good variety. The staff in the restaurant were good.
The breakfast was expensive. The bacon was hard and like leather to eat. Food wasn't very hot.
The bedroom was supposed to be a quiet room according to reception, but a party held underneath the room didn't finish until 1230 and the noise generated was excessive.
The floor of the shower was very wet after showering. The reception was told but the floor was still wet after showering the second day.
There was no chest of drawers in the room. Storage was poor.

The hotel is right next to the station and less than a 10 min walk from city centre. The room was clean and comfortable with very friendly and receptive staff.
The breakfast could start at 6:00 or 6:30 AM instead of 7:00

Location is great for the price. While it's not the cheapest, it is a great value for the quality of the stay and the central location in Manchester - about a 10-20 minute walk from a lot of amenities.

Very good hotel, in the heart of Manchester just 5 minutes walk from the Piccadilly train station. Amazing breakfast, very clean, with very courteous and helpful staff.
