The woman booking me in lady with a strong scottish accent i think called linda was very rude and looked down her nose at me during check in, i had a booking made and she didnt even ask just put me in a vacant room not the 1 i booked, all staff were very un proffessional and had no customer service skills at all, terrible stay i left 24 hours early as didn't want to stay any longer AVOID AT ALL COSTS, linda the lovely check in staff should have her employment terminated with immediate effect

i loved everything about the hotel apart from one thing. my bath water was very dirty and brown. i got a new boiler but had to wait an hour for the water to get clear and it wasnt even hot.

The location is not bad. The breakfast was not bad. The reception staff was not rude. The twin beds were placed quite separately, which was great for people like me who cannot sleep well if there's someone sleeping right next to me! The curtains were really blackout curtains which blocked the sunlight very well, which again is very important to me.
There was an awful smell in the hotel room. Every time when we entered the room, we wanted to throw up because the smell was really bad. It took us a few mins for our smell sense to get tired and used to the smell. The pillow cases and bedsheets were all stained, so they looked dirty, but I knew it could just be stains.

Dear [Hotel Name / Management],
I checked in around 12:50 a.m. on the night of 2nd October. The man at the reception informed me that if I had booked directly through your website, I wouldn’t have been charged for parking. However, since my booking was made via Booking.com, I had to pay the parking charges.
Later, I asked him about the check-out time, and he kindly told me that although the usual time is 11:00 a.m., I could check out at 12:00 noon. I thanked him for that.
The next day, around 11:45 a.m., I went to iron my shirt before checking out, but unfortunately, the ironing room was very busy. Because of that, I got delayed and checked out around 12:45 p.m.
When I went to return my key at the reception, a lady at the desk asked me to pay extra money. I explained that the man on duty the previous night had allowed me to check out late and asked her to confirm with him. However, she and two other ladies argued with me for about 10 minutes and told me that I could not leave without paying. I then said they should contact the person who had given me permission. Eventually, the lady said they would claim the extra charge from Booking.com and allowed me to leave.
In my opinion, this was a very poor experience. The staff should not treat customers in such a manner.

The hotel was in a very convenient location and parking is available. The breakfast is very good. Fans are available on request.
The hotel badly needs renovation. Hallways are in poor condition with ripped wallpaper and beat up paintwork. Rooms and bathrooms in desperate need of updates
