The room smelt bad, the rooms (both bedroom and bathroom) were untidy and unhygienic. The bed was very uncomfortable, therefore had lack of sleep, the lift wasnt working, the breakfast was appalling and very salty, the tea cups had lipstick marks on and grime. Last but not least I contacted booking.com for a refund…they told me they had sent an email to diamond lodge to rectify the issue and to have a refund…they were meant to contact by 72 hours..I had an email from booking.com to say they haven’t contacted back with a response…now I have been left with no refund, note marks from what I’m presuming were bed bugs and I had a poorly stomach after eating the breakfast. I would not recommend either booking.com or Diamond Lodge as if you have an issue it doesn’t get rectified. Very dissatisfied from both companies.

Staff on reception were first class. Extremely helpful, going above and beyond to help us get into Manchester to see my son run his first marathon. This was checking in and the next morning.
In the morning when someone in the next room was getting an early morning call with reception, banging on their door.
