The hotel is really well located for the Manchester Arena(5 minite walk).
Our room had floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows....Great for looking down on the city below. Bed was ultra comfy. Bath AND a separate shower which we think is great.
Breakfast(buffet style)was lovely, lots and lots of options, although we saw people having to queue and wait for tables to be free, and items ran out(they were always replaced, but often after a delay).
The foyer is quite grand and makes a good first impression.
Nice facility of the hotel, to look after your cases after you've checked out, thank you.
We would book again.
Once into the 'accommodation 'parts of the building, some things were quite shabby(well used may be a better description) - particularly the carpets on the landings and in the room. Our window had hand prints over it. The kettle leaked when pouring. We can live with all these things and we do not let them spoil our stay, but for the price, these items should be kept on-top-of.
The bar......or more accurately-the price of drinks!!! Almost £7 for a pint of IPA!!!! The bar was a lovely area where we would have been happy to stay in each night(as I think would many other guests) IF the prices were more reasonable. I'm not saying "cheap", just abit more reasonable. Instead, the bar seemed more or less empty each of the 3 nights we were there.
