It’s very close to the centre with friendly staff. The hotel was clean and comfy.
The room was a bit tired feeling. There was a cracked tile in the bathroom and the bathroom door handle had a notch repair.

Breakfast buffet was nice, initial look of the room was good until we realised it wasn't what we booked. Location was great, central.
We were not given the room we paid for, we have booked a room with 2x double beds, when we got there, there was one. We let the reception know and someone dropped in a single collapsible bit of metal with the thinnest 'mattress'. Not comfy and certainly not worth £160+. The lady dropping it off didn't even acknowledge us and ran off without saying anything so we wouldn't have the chance to question it. It would seem this is quite a common thing for this hotel as they had a number of these 'beds' on standby and there was never any intention to give us the double room, once the 'bed' was put in there wasn't any space to move around the room anymore. A number of the electrical points were also not working and the iron was broken, throwing water all over our clothes as we picked it up.

The room was great, very clean and well taken care of. Great location
The staff didnt seem very happy. For example at breakfast we were told we could order some food but no one came up either day to ask if we wanted to order anything. On the first day I had to go.to the hosting station to get something. It was the same at reception on the day we checked in the staff memeber was lovely and very chatty. But the otber two times we went up the staff seemed irritated about us coming to talk to them.
The food also wasnt very fresh ie eggs tasted weird and the bacon was hard and chewy so all we ate from the hot section was beans and hashbrowns

Friendly staff. Comfy beds. Good location as close to shops.
A bit tired interior in places including hall way to room and bedroom. Have experienced scented entrance to other hotels but the scent on entering CP was overpowering.
