This is a good hotel: clean and tidy. My room was spacious, with a King size bed, tea/coffee facilities but the lighting sensors were a bit out of sync. This is a community based hotel so don't expect great flourishes but for value for money it's good. Loved that its dog friendly and staff had their dogs with them

Very cleanly with spacious rooms.
No daily housekeeping in the rooms, wasn’t offered this as an option at check in either. Not a massive deal as we don’t need beds made everyday but changing the bins in the room would’ve been nice. No hairdryer in the room either and when I went to reception to ask they couldn’t provide one.
We wanted to pay for a barista made coffee at breakfast instead of using the free coffee provided. When we asked if we could purchase one the woman gave us attitude and rolled her eyes.
We also work at a hotel so was slightly disappointed with the level of service here.

I had a room that faced the canal side, even though I didn't get the full view, it was still nice.
I couldn't figure out how to operate the overall light switches when I inserted my card, so I had to call reception. They were so quick to resolve it.
Fantastic location as it's so close to the Science and Industry Museum, only 20-minute walk to Manchester City Centre. Spoilt for choice for food.
Friendly staff, which is the best.
Easy to park your car and it's a reasonable price.
I have been to Manchester many times and in different seasons - never fail to spot something new to try.

There was a problem with cold water taps being warm that meant I had to get dressed and go downstairs in the middle of the night to get a cold drink it was attended to reasonably soon but no one told me it had been resolved I had to ask. I did not ask for any reduction in charge but it would have been a good gesture to have reduced my bill a little.

Perfect location for me visiting music venue Rebellion.
Staff were fantastic.

Room was too light at night.
Couldn’t get my lights to work in my room, bathroom light was the only one working but that didn’t turn off either. Strange.

Reception area was beautiful, then you get in the lift, from that point everything is dirty, years of dirt build up on the doors, the room had rubbish in that had dirt build up on it had been there that long, the bath tap scolds you if you run the bath with hot water, the mirror was hanging off the wall, the latch on the window was broken and barely hanging on, the bed is on a slant so you roll to one side, the vent on the bathroom door is absolutely filthy, they only allow one key which you need to keep the lights on and refuse to give another but won’t say why ,it needs shut down for in depth cleaning, fixing and staff training

Location was great as I was meeting people at Castlefield. It was quiet inside and out. The bed was really comfortable and I felt I could rest in my room, which I sometimes struggle with when I'm away.
Also, the guy who was on the late shift at the front desk with 2 other girls, helped me order food to be delivered as I didn't know what was available. This was above and beyond!
It was a warm day and there was no air conditioning - but it is Manchester, so there isn't usually much call for it :D
