There is nothing for me to point out here. I have stayed in this hotel multiple times, and had no bad experiences.

Staff were great
Food at restaurant was good
Room was clean and big and I had an amazing view of Castlefield Bowl.
The use of the gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room included in the price was fantastic value.
Would 100% stay again!
The hotel lost hot water but the staff communicated well, explained all the different options and ultimately it was sorted as soon as possible.
The hotel walls aren't soundproof/thin so I could hear guests when they were noisy on my last night.

Good
The location of the hotel was good for us, probably about 20 min walk to the main centre. But right next to the docks which are very pretty. Parking is just right behind the hotel and it was £18 per day. When we arrived we were welcomed and checked in quickly. For one night in Manchester it was all we needed.
The room was very basic which we didn’t mind but the fact that it was no toilet brush was quite unusual and unhygienic. Breakfast was very basic which, no much of a choice apart from a classic English breakfast options that not everyone likes. We were missing some fresh fruit and vegetables and more bread options - there was only a toast bread available. Coffee didn’t taste very well either.

Poor
I booked this hotel mainly for the pool, so naturally, when I was told the wrong closing time on day one and never actually used it - this was very disappointing! Breakfast was decent enough, although no croissants on the second morning caused a full-scale crisis for my son. On-site parking was convenient, but at £18 a day it felt like the car was enjoying a luxury stay of its own, especially with cheaper options nearby. Loads of great places to eat locally!
Well, where to start. The constant noise above the room sounded like a boiler having an existential crisis, helpfully continuing all night. The walls appear to be made of tissue paper, as I could hear absolutely everything outside. The beds were about as comfortable as a park bench. The local tram wasn’t working, so I became very familiar with the bus timetable. I was also told the wrong pool closing time on day one, so missed it entirely. And finally, no croissants on day two - my son is still recovering from the emotional trauma.

Good location, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was small little buffets but perfect for a good start to the day. Bonus to be able to use the pool sauna and steam room
Found the room a little hot at night time to be able to sleep
