Very Poor
The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly.
My room (304) was located on the top floor adjacent to the lift, and the noise from the lift machinery was clearly audible throughout my stay. I found it very difficult to fall asleep, and when I did, I was woken up every time someone used the lift. The room was also very hot, even with the radiator off.

Perfect for the west end of the city, right in old canal basin/docks. Had good friendly and helpful staff and nice public bar area and free use of gym next door
Best to drop bags from the road as its a longer walk with steps up from the carpark, not criticism , just a tip

Lovely staff here and a really comfortable stay. Bonus for me is the bath towels are big towels, not many hotels do any more
Nothing at all other than a mute button for the kids in the corridor early morning!!

Disappointing
On arrival (early but at time stated and just wanted to drop our bags off) we had to wait some time (over 5 minutes) to be noticed so first impressions were not good.
When we came back later to check in all was good except when we went to bed (about midnight after a show and evening out) we realised hadn’t been told breakfast time but thought would probably be normal (7-10).
In the night - bed was very uncomfortable, room was very hot but no thermostat (radiator turned off) and no way of turning light off in bathroom. In the middle of the night (2am) the curtain pole fell off the wall … meaning the rest of the nights sleep was even less comfortable as unable to shut light out (plus impossible to get to bathrooom without being seen clearly from the road).
Went down to breakfast at 9.32 to discover breakfast had already ended.
However the manager did arrange for new full breakfasts to be made however these were disappointing.

Gentleman on reception was lovely, very helpful on the phone and when we arrived in person. Room was good size.
There aren't any plugs by the bed and we needed to use a cpap so we bought an extension lead. Room strongly smelt of garlic when we first went in, but we opened the windows and was fine when we came back later. Loo seat was very loose, hubby fixed it though.

Spacious room, more than enough to move around, get ready and relax. Perfect location for visiting off deansgate!
Bathrooms are slightly dated but serve their purpose. The lift jumps a bit but the stairs are always another option. Our stay was great, I really can't complain!

Excellent location to walk to a variety of restaurants and bars. The area was lively in a positive way when I stayed on a Saturday night.
The view of the canal was nice.
Parking was close and convenient. £18 and could leave as long as I needed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bar prices were very reasonable, especially for a hotel bar.
Bedroom was huge, warm, clean, with a decent sized walk-in shower.
Would definitely stay here again when visiting Manchester. Recommend this hotel for sure.
The leisure facilities close at 7pm on a Saturday, with last entry at 6pm and need to leave the sauna and pool by 6.30pm. This was a bit disappointing as had hoped to spend longer, having only arrived at the hotel at 5pm. Maybe this info was on the hotel website and I had missed it.
My superior double room was big; with a king-size bed, but no seating or surface to put my overnight case. One main wall mirror and bathroom mirror, but no mirror above the dressing table to do makeup or hair.
You can hear other guests closing doors and their voices in adjacent rooms.

Good
Good value for money. Very helpful staff. As we came by car, parking facility excellent. On this occasion, did not have breakfast.
We had a room on the main road. It was mid week, the road was quiet. Unfortunately, a car drew up just below our window, not in spaces on the other side of the road. 4 people had a dance party, car doors open for music. This was 11.00 till midnight! I know this is no fault of hotel, although glazing not sufficient to shut of noise. Would stay again but request a room not on the road side.
