Disappointing
Good central location. Staff were nice enough.
The room was nothing like the one advertised. Much smaller, simple, peeling wallpaper. Where were the comfy chairs like those in the pictures?Shower curtain not sufficient to stop bathroom floor becoming soaked. I returned a month later to retrieve some lost property and waited 90 minutes for the housekeeping staff to attend to me. The staff at the front desk were pleasant enough but where was the urgency to support a paying customer? No one seemed bothered until a nice gentleman arrived at the desk towards the end of this experience and seemingly took charge of the situation. This could have been an opportunity to encourage a return visit but no. Very strange. Lost property process needs looking at. A guest shouldn’t need to wait that long. Fortunately I wasn’t in a rush but needless to say I had booked a different hotel which was cheaper and surpassed my expectations on my return visit. I had queued a long time for my check in too. Plenty of desks but only one manned. I understand it’s a budget place, but if the rooms are going to be so underwhelming, service needs to be more efficient to make up for it. Small things can make a big difference to the customer experience with this type of hotel.

Good
The hotel location was very optimal and the hotel as a whole was good, well maintained and clean, the staff was helpful as well.
It was quite hot, and that was a complaint in most reviews as well, it was almost impossible to stay in the room in the day and there weren't enough measures to tackle the heat

Poor
Noise in nearby room from midnight till about 2am. Why aren't staff going on walkabout to stop this. When I complained in the morning, the staff member just shrugged. Not staying again.
Would be nice if the Pakistani staff occasionally smiled and engaged in conversation. What a contrast with Premier Inn on Portland Street - lovely friendly staff.
