Disappointing
It is a historic building in a good location in Manchester city center
Because it’s a historic building it has antiquated plumbing fixtures, creaky floorboards and little sound deadening. Another problem seemed to be the amount of intoxicated younger persons staying at the property likely due to its price range

The hotel is in an excellent location (central). My room was clean & its a nice hotel in general. Staff were helpful. I was pleased to be there.

We loved everything, finding the hotel was easy considering it was our first time in Manchester, staff were excellent room was spacious and spotless, breakfast was perfect (and I'm fussy) between the entrance the stair view chandelier it really is a fantastic hotel
What I didn't like was visiting YouTube and listening to all the negativity of the hotel and the ratings because it's far from that, we spoke and interacted with other guests and they were just as happy and satisfied as us, honestly between the whole experience and staff we will be back definitely

Location was the only good thing and staff were friendly.
Very dated hotel, it’s not been renovated in 50 years by the looks of it. The room was clean and bathroom clean aswel but it needs a massive spruce up and some money invested into ot. For such a prime location and amazing architecture the internal areas really let it down. It could be a top tier hotel If it matched the outside appearance and location.

Location, booking in early! , staff / service/ security ( we were asked to show room card upon entering late at night ?), room was basic but clean
Shower - head was loose on shower bar so shower was from waist down - however water was hot.

The room was spacious.
It was hot, too hot, and there was just one tiny fan for such a large room.
The smoke alarm went off in the middle of the night, it was all cleared before we made it down the stairs but none of the staffs said anything until we made it completely down to the lobby and was told by the front desk it was all clear.

Very close to the train station, room was clean and the bed was comfy. Shower was hot and there were facilities to make tea. I arrived late and was thankful for a well priced convenient hotel.
